So the playoffs are here and it lookes like I am not going to be able to watch my beloved Leafs. Again... Fucksakescocksuckingmotherfucker.

So who's up for a Stanley Cup Playoff Style bracket MMarmy style?? Here's what I am thinking...

I am overhauling the rules already because I didn't like the amount of fights that were going to take place - and it was confusing - so now that I have thought about it - this is it:

Each "team" (camp) will field 6 fighters (C, LW, RW, D, D, G). Each fighter must fight once. If it goes to fight #7 in the series - it's a wildcard. All fighters must be from the same camp. For example - my first team I am using groundhogs. No MAXX fighters will be allowed to be on.

All fights will be at CW.

Conferences will be randomized by me. In the event coaches have 2 teams I will make sure they are not in the same conference. Seeding is determined by the combined number of EFC titles amongst the 6 fighters. Tiebreaker is 1) The average p4p rank and 2) Combined number of wins.

Each round is the best of 7 fights. Top seeded team gets to pick fights 1,2,5 and the wildcard #7 matchups. Lower seeded team gets to pick 3,4,6 fights. First one to win 4 fights moves onto the next round. Each round gets 2 weeks to complete once the playoffs start - I will determine that when we have all our coaches.

Goalie change rule - you can sub out 1 fighter and sub in another prior to the start of rounds 2, 3, 4.

Next - since this is legend fights it's going to cost you some coin. The max number of fights you will pay for is 16 - and most likely less. So the most this will cost you is $4 per camp. If you don't want to pay then don't sign up. Each fighter will pay for their "home team" fights - except for the 7th. Lower seed pays and is at the whim of the higher seeded coach for who the fighters are.

Chachi has graciously agreed to give medals to 1st, 2nd, and third place Coaches. Third place will be determined by a series for the two teams eliminated in the 3rd round.

As always - this is just a vision. I reserve the right to change anything in the name of fair play and fun competition.

Sorry I keep changing it. I think this is better for cost and involves more hockey-like rules

Conference Quarter Finals

We'll aim for a start on Monday March 26th - that gives you until April 9th to get the series done. It shouldn't be hard. If you and the opposing coach are online at the same time you could do it in 20 mins all on the same day. I am flexible on these timelines so long as the coaches are agreeable and there's a good excuse.

I'll make a results thread when it's closer to the start date - you guys can post your fights there. I would recommend when you post you keep a running score of the series. First one to 4 wins and moves on.

I will make a new thread to post results in. Remember - all fighters can only fight once until game 7 - then the home team gets to pick the fight from any of the listed fighters.

All rosters are locked in. If I see a timestamp after now in the edit post it will not be allowed.

Fights in the series go like this

Game 1 - Home team chooses fight
Game 2 - Home team chooses fight
Game 3 - Away team chooses fight
Game 4 - Away team chooses fight
Game 5 - Home team chooses fight
Game 6 - Away team chooses fight
Game 7 - Home team chooses fight - Away team pays for fight.

Eastern Conference

1) Home - Dead Rabbits vs. 8) Visitors - Dation of Gongation
2) Home - Team Shakes vs. 7) Visitors - BH MMA Camp
3) Home - Raised by Wolves vs. 6) Visitors - Big Losers
4) Home - Groundhogs vs. 5) Visitors - Spidey MMA

Western Conference

1) Home - We Die Constantly vs. 8) Visitors - eXtreme Troll Fighting
2) Home - Makruger Top Team vs. 7) Visitors - Andrew's Elite
3) Home - Team Smacku vs. 6) Visitors - No Surrender
4)Home - Jersey Devils vs. 5) Visitors - Team Malign

Conferences are posted - I did it by pasting the list into Random.Org, randomizing the list and cutting it in half.

Now - Post the 6 fighters that you want representing you camp - just edit your sign up post to make less posts in the thread.

Remember seeding is done by total number of EFC titles amongst the 6 members. See the original post for the tiebreakers.

Once this is done I will seed and you will know your first round matchup. I'll post further instructions after that.

yeah there's lots of time. I think I said we had til april 9th to get round one done. Just cuz we all jumped the gun doesn't mean you have to.

It is great fun once you get into it though

So Ho Brah isn`t able to participate as he has some stuff to deal with.

Seaville has graciously stepped in with his Jersey Devils camp. I have put him there as the roster.

Him and Hatch can face off in the first round. Seavill will get the 4th seed and home ice for this round since he has more belts with his roster. I`ll re-seed everything appropriately after the first round with Seaville`s belts in check.

Round one is finished. I will post Round two matchups tonight when I have more time.

I am still going to wait until Monday the 9th to start the second round to give you all an opportunity to make your sub if you wish it. If there is one that you wish just PM me who you want out and who you want in and I will make the changes in the master roster at the front.

Lastly - please make sure all your fights are posted. I think that I am going to name a Conn Smythe Winner. It will be based on a straight +/- system where a finish is +2, decision is +1, loss by finish is -2 and decision -1. Tiebreaker will be a fight between the fighters - less EFC titles pays for the fight.

FTR - I think I am going to shorten up the period to get round 2 done. 2 weeks is too long - we had all the fights done in like 5 days. I think a week is good, with maybe 4 days between rounds to make your goalie change if you want it.

So - ROUND 2 WILL RUN FROM APRIL 9 - APRIL 16TH - END OF AM RESET.

If this is an issue with anyone - let me know.

Round 2 is done. We're down to the final 4. Congrats guys.

I can wait until the 20th to start round 3 to keep the timeline I had proposed. I will move it along if it's unanimous that we want to move it up. I would still allow a few days for the goalie changes.

Conference Finals begin on Wed April 18th AM reset and will run though the weekend until the end of the Sunday PM reset.

Aside to that - it's kinda unfair to Tesh as he lost out in the same round.

So - if Vostre is around I am willing to let him have a series with Tesh to get back in the challenge.
