Fantasy Football 2022

Hey,

Just wanted to gauge interest and get sign ups started as football season is approaching. Who is down for fantasy football? Imagine some SR prizes could be on the line, though will need to confirm that.

Would love to get 10 but at least 8 for a league.

i can run the league, but if anyone else wants that chore please step up.

Set for PPR, (Point Per Reception)...
Set for QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, DEF, 6 Bench...
Set for 100$ FAAB Free Agents (Free Agent Acquisition Budget)...

All of this can be changed, but I think it's pretty solid.

at least get rid of kickers. i do like FAB instead of rolling waivers. can't believe there's FAB, but still have kickers.

I'll leave prizes up to y'all... but what are we thinking SRs for the Top 2? Top 3? Maybe a SR for the team with the most points scored but fails to make playoffs?

I can't remember if there are tiers to SRs, I thought there were... right?

I just selected a random draft time, it wouldn't let me start the league without setting a draft time.

I assumed we would all vote/select the best draft time after we had 8+ managers signed up.

Prefer Sunday as most of the MMA events are Saturday but whatever day and time people want is fine by me.

Sunday the 28th? This will be "2" weeks before the first Sunday game day in the NFL... or Sunday the 4th, which is the Sunday before Labor day, (I know a lot of US based folks may have holiday plans with friends and family on that Sunday, so it may not be ideal)

Im usually flexible and will be on vacation in late august so whatever works though no early mornings please!

How does everybody feel about this Sunday, the 14th?

Since it would be an early draft, and drafted players may get hurt in camp or preseason games... so if we go for this Sunday, there would be a preseason FAAB budget and a regular season FAAB budget, (whatever FAAB money you spend to add players in the preseason will be replenished after the 1st regular season weekend).


Or we go for Sunday the 28th.

So... have we finalized the prizes? Can we award game cash for everybody who makes the playoffs? (I feel like I may be the only one who needs a couple 10+ millions to buy some equipment...)

I was thinking that the Champ gets 3 Special Recruits... #2 gets 2... 3rd place gets 1... 4th place team gets game cash.

The highest scoring team to miss playoffs gets a SR and some game cash.

Are there tiers to the quality of different SRs?

when i won the league like two years ago, it was an absolute HAUL. chief stepped up BIG TIME for prizes.

Good news, the league is now at 12 Members! Playoffs expanded to the top 6 teams.

Great job getting it set up Beatnik. Would like to do a standard type for waiver if most agree. Not a fan of the budget option.

So... I want some really compelling arguments against FAAB... because... It really is a better system than the old ways.

It gives every team an equal shot at landing a FA if they need it. I'm pretty sure I have it set so 0$ bids are valid, so you don't have to make a bid on a FA to land him... but... if he's a high-value target, you should probably put a bid in of around 30% or your budget.

If it's 0 that should be fine. I'm cool with any option really, just didn't want to deal with budgeting personally. But I know the rolling types all have their annoyances too.

Not bothered enough to have a good argument for ya so whatever people prefer works.
