Matty's Wrestling Tribute League

My next tourney will be a career challenge, but instead of a end goal, the goal is to win the league.
Points are yet to be determined, but along the lines of points for wins, plus bonuses for stoppages and title victories, with the title points likely more points the higher tier.
Post in this thread if your interested, along with your idea for which wrestler you'd like to represent, one fighter per camp, likely at LHW, but for now im just generating interest and will do a proper write-up at the weekend


Update:

- Fighter ID cutoff is after this fighter http://mmarmy.com/fighter_stats.php?id=1074789 so ID 1074790+
- Openweight, but easier if we go with LHW, as its easier to find if they cut a good weight or not.
- Start fighting your guy for reset Oct 2364, any fights before that wont be counted into the points.
- One fighter per CAMP, as many as you want per coach, as long as their from different camps

- Points are as follows:
- 3 Points for a victory
- 1 extra point for a stoppage
- 1 extra point per title victory, 2 points for a SF/Glory level title, 3 Points for EFC

Still confused about the weight. You use the word "was" which is past tense. Your wording in the original post was sort of a feeling out post. You've yet to post actual rules or details and such. Recruiting specific weight classes makes getting people to participate more difficult. That is why I'm not in the Olympic event. I couldn't get a good HW. I'll have to withdraw my fighter if this is the case. I have no more open slots and I spent too much on this fighter to delete him. I don't have the weight recruit option in my second camp.

So its LHW for sure then?

ok, optional weightclass, as its not a tourney which involves compulsary fighting one another, but preferably LHW if possible, as I thought that or HW are easiest to determine if their a good weight or not, and HW was used last.
Keep your guy smack, looks good, sorry for the clusterfuck, been a long tiring week as started a new job and have had very little time to prepare this, probably wasnt a good idea to start this when i couldnt allocate the time at first, but fully here now, will update the first post with full details and update with your fighters

Scores updated, with Judo running away with the tourney, altho I think this is down to Judo having no life outside the game, with his fighter having well over a hundred fights!
Ho Brah's made a sneaky comeback, from a low rank and now very much in contention for a medal place.
Retirements still will have alot of impact on this, with the number of fighters constantly dwindling, the tourney is anyones for the taking (as long as Judo's guy retires soon!)

Down to our final 8 competitors, Judo's runaway leader has hung up his boots, but unlike Kane, will not be returning from death numerous times. He built up what seems to be an unbeatable lead!
Chief looks odds on for the second spot and the silver medal, with Ho Brah and Grapple likely to fight for the Bronze, unless retirements take a hold and throw the scores right open again!

the tournament was not for fun or enjoyment of players, but was infact a learning curve that only judo wasnt in on, thus trying to teach him that having a social life is ok, and a (real) girlfriend is acceptable.
Thankyou everyone for your participation, knowing that this wasnt a real tournament, and congratulate yourselves on knowing youve educated judo that winning this adds nothing to your life

no. my 113-67 guys have the same success as most coaches 60-35 guys. while u guys incubate a bit longer my guys are on the field fighting everyday whether its good or bad match ups. just because they have more fights doesnt mean they should have more titles

Just because a fighter doesn't have 180 fights doesn't mean he is incubated though.

hudo has no life, it is absolutely impossible for myself and the vast majority of coaches to just log in that many resets let alone get fights.

can't wait for the day that someone else gives u a compliment, you have the patting your own back thing down to a science. Lol.

not saying incubated to a bad point. but most protect their fighters more then me. i get a lot of flack because of all my fights but imo its brave of me to put my guys out there so early and consistently produce good 1s with this method.

but anyways this is getting way off topic. thank u for the tourny mattu. it was one of my favs for sure. made me excited to log on and tryto get kane fights everyday

think that is the key in tournaments like this, your guy needs to be fighting as frequently as possible
glad you enjoyed it and hope others did, will be brainstorming other ideas for after the W.A.C

More fights = the more you know about your fighter, and the more fights available for others each reset. I applaud you Judo, for your wisdom and dedication to MMArmy(lol). And 17000 wins is cool and all, but the real # that matters is the win/loss ratio, just like kill/death ratio in FPS games, it tells the real story.

180 fights is ridiculous for one fighter. Thats more than almost any of my camps lol.
