Alliance Camp Marathon (Alliance Event)

Alliance Camp Marathon (Alliance Event) - 09/02/15 03:42 AM
Each active member in an alliance will post 1 camp that they want to take part in the event.
Every fight that you compete in for 1 week will score points for your camp. Once the 1 week is over the top camps will compete in a knockout tournament under the same scoring.
Start Date will be September 7th AM reset and end September 21st. Playoffs begin immediately after and will likely consist of 2 resets per round.Scoring will be as such -
Tier 1 - Finish 3pts, UD 2pts, SD 1pt
Tier 2 - Finish 4pts, UD 3pts, SD 2pts
Tier 3 - Finish 5pts, UD 4pts, SD 3pts
Tier 4 - Finish 6pts, UD 5pts, SD 4pts
Tier 5 - Finish 7pts, UD 6pts, SD 5pts
Tier 6 - Finish 8pts, UD 7pts, SD 6pts
Tier 7 - Finish 10pts, UD 8ts, SD 7pts

Looks like this is the field. Event begins in 4 hours for this AM reset.
July 2458. I'll likely be a reset behind with the scoring as it's quite a bit of checking and tabulating.
45 Camps have chosen to step up for their alliance for this one so i'm gonna go with an 16 camp field for the playoffs.
Top 16 camps scoring wise at the end of the 2 weeks will enter the playoffs.
Playoff rounds will consist of 2 resets (1 real day) and be a single elimination tournament. Winner gets medal.
Total alliance scoring pre-playoffs will decide the winning alliance.

Can you go into more detail about how the playoffs will work? Not sure I understand the playoff format. We each put a fighter in a tourney or is it most points in the 2 resets for the top 16?

Thanks chief. Makes perfect sense now. Initially it sounded like the playoffs lasted 2 resets, which is where the confusion came into play. Thanks again.

The regular season of this ends on Sunday night.
The playoffs will begin on Wednesday the 16th. Matchups will be posted by then.
I'm really behind on scoring so there may not be another update before the final tally.

The alliance portion was completed, yes it was cut by a week but unless a stunning rope-a-dope two week tactic was planned by anyone not in THC I can't see the problem. The cancelled part was the individual tournament. Why should this suddenly mean the event is not up to standard?

THC crushed and deserve the gold for sure, but when talking alliance event standing and comparing this to the other events so far and coming up it just doesn't stack up imo.

We participated just like everyone else, but weren't to know that the end would be cancelled, this was the alliance event, if it ended the way it did, that's how it ended, but it shouldn't be wiped out because people didn't rate it like they rated other competitions
