"Sneak Attack..."

Pro-log:

This last event of the calendar year is designed to challenge all alliances in their ability to quickly and accurately respond to a "Sneak Attack". Outside the gates alliance forces gather that wish to usurp the precious treasures that come with winning the battle and claiming the "Alliance of the Year". With blood lust in their eye alliance members are pounding furiously at the gate to break through! A murderous frenzy is building rapidly...

Pay careful attention to the story line of "Sneak Attack" or you could fall from grace while another alliance steals away the top prize and leaves you counting the dead wondering what in hell went wrong.

The rules will be laid out within the story of "Sneak Attack" and it will be up to you to figure out the message and rules of engagement hidden within this secret parchment. Like in battle, once a plan is set into motion, many things can go smoothly or they can go very wrong. There will be no time to confirm questions that you might have. You will need to react decisively and unmercifully make decisions fast while fighting for your very own existence, and your alliance's placement in history. Or... perish under the hands of the vicious.

Story Line:

The three hoots of an owl deep in the dark, cold, forbidding forest brought an even deeper chill to the bones and the minds of the four highly skilled combat soldiers huddled somewhat together this mid December night. As they stood close to each other speaking in nearly a whisper and listening intently to every noise coming from the dark, and its possible meaning, it seemed obvious that they were waiting. Standing idly... no guards, no fire to warm their frigid limbs, no attempt at concealment, no weapons drawn for potential defense, no distance between them for defensive movement should an attack occur. What were they waiting for...

These four elite soldiers didn't know each other, and certainly didn't trust each other. In fact, they were enemies. Enemies that had come together with mistrust toward each other but for what they perceived to be a common good for their own alliance. Each weary of the other. Each highly mistrusting of the other. Each ultimately looking out for their own alliance and looking for a possible advantage that they could use that would give victory to them and defeat to the others. Each warrior was sure that the others were undoubtedly looking for an advantage of their own. None could be trusted, regardless of there present willingness to work together as one.

Or was it a cunning ruse...

The Story, continues:

The ears of the horses perked up with a slight turn of their heads in the direction of the nearly imperceptible snap of a twig. The heads of these four case hardened combat troops turned with angst as all eyes tried to focus in the same direction as their hands moved slowly towards their swords in preparation of what might come out of the dark...

An individual dressed all in black came slowly, carefully forward. One hand holding the reins of his horse and the other clearly in the air showing no weapon or aggressive action toward the four.

In a very low yet discernible voice he stated rather timidly that he was paid to deliver this parchment to this location. He carefull reached under his cape and brought out a parchment which he then hesitantly handed to the closest scar faced battle hardened man, turned and slowly walked back into the blackness the way in which he came...

The battle hardened warrior took the parchment and looked at the other three, two legged animals standing with him, with cold emotionless eyes as his fingers fumbled in the early morning cold to unroll the parchment...

The story moves on...

As the rag tag miscreants stood huddled together one individual read in a hard yet low voice. Each morsel of information was etched in their minds to be sure. Most of the information was what would be considered normal actions from any fighting force. However, some of the information was considered a bit unusual and needed to be given some thought. This information, regardless of its validity, needed to be passed on to the leaders of their alliance and disseminated to those who were ready to "Sand and Fight", and yes, sacrifice. Time was of the essence.

As with most traitorous information much was done to conceal the identity of the author. As usual, this parchment was written with a special ink that would soon begin to disappear. Therefore, it was imperative to retain as much of the information contained in the parchment as possible...

The Story picks up speed...

As the four representatives of the four distinct alliances raced back to their alliance head quarters with the information received each rider could not help but think of the potential peril that all faced in the coming few days. It would be important to relay the information of the parchment correctly and interpret its meaning with precise understanding and knowledge.

It was now time to pull together for the opening engagement.

First, a roster must be assembled and submitted to the "Chief of all the combatants". Those that are willing to "Stand and Fight" must be registered with this overlord by midnight of 10/2596 EST. USA, or lose out on any of the rewards.

Second, these fighting combatants must be assigned a fighting division. They must train with what little time is available and determine what style of fighting is best suited for their skills and attributes.

Third, all of these combatants in all of these alliances must organize on the killing fields south of the castle in a valley known as "UNO".

Reports of battle results must be submitted immediately in order to track the individual battles... "Speed is of the essence". Delay will cost you. A special section has been set up for battle results to be posted for quick dispatch to the proper overlord.

After the first "Sneak Attack"...

With a "Sneak Attack" coming early in the morning and lasting throughout the day of Nov. 2596 there were many lost lives and even more wounded. With such chaos throughout the day on all sides it was clear that there would be no evening encounters with the enemy. It didn't take long for the leaders of these fierce alliances to organize medical help, food and a place to bed down for the night. It was also time to bring in some new recruits to replace those killed in action. It had to be organized quickly because at first light all knew that the battle would then continue in the valley of UNO.

Once again, battle rosters must be turned in by midnight of this PM Reset, Dec. 2596 to the "Chief Over Lord". Then, move the new recruits into place of those Killed in Action and hope for the best at days lights, Jan. 2597.

As all of the combatants lay sprawled in whatever area they could find that was comfortable, each thought of the day to come. Would they survive another day, or perish like so many before them... only the MMArmy Gawds knew the ansewer... zzzzz zzz zzzzz

After the 2nd. "Attack"...

With a second "Attack" coming early in the morning of the second day and lasting throughout the day of Jan. 2597 once again there were many lost lives and even more wounded. With such chaos throughout the day coming from all sides it was clear that there would be no further encounters with the enemy. It didn't take long for the leaders of these fierce and barbaric alliances to organize medical help, food and a place to bed down for the night. It was also time to bring in some new recruits to replace those that met their demise. It had to be organized quickly because at first light once again all knew that the human destruction would continue.

Once again, battle rosters must be turned in by midnight of this PM Reset, Feb. 2597 to the "Chief Over Lord". Then, move the new recruits into place of those that met their demise and hope to survive another day of Blood n Guts letting.

Survive one more day of battle, Mar. 2597, and maybe the madness would end. Only the MMArmy Gawds knew the answer to that conundrum.

Word slowly began to circulate in a bit of a hush that something was going be different about the next battle. Some were whispering to others to keep a careful vigil and be ready for the unexpected...

so am i right in thinking, and spidey understands it the same way, we have sept and oct 2596 to recruit then nov 2596 we fight? if so, can i just make the suggestion that we have one reset (nov 2596) to sort rosters and get them sent to you then fights start dec 2596?

I would second that idea, ppl get on at different times which makes it even harder to get things situated.

Sorry, but no...

The purpose of the event is to see which alliance or alliances can communicate and come together quickly to make a stand.

I am sure that all of the alliances have people scattered all over from different states to different countries.
