MMArmy World Cup 18'

Beginning in June




6 Groups and Coaches will have their chosen 11 fighters face off against an opposing coaches 11 fighters 1 time in each match. Each Coach will put any combination of their fighters from all of their camps into a FUTBOL position for example a 4-4-2 Formation...

You will field 1 fighter from each weight class plus 1 male fighter from any weight for your Catchweight Fight (Goalie). You can choose a female from WBW / WFW for 1 position and 1 female from WAW, WSW or WFLY for the other position.

Striker - Male = Heavyweight
Striker - Male = Light Heavyweight
Midfielder - Male = Middleweight
Midfielder - Male = Welterweight
Midfielder - Male = Lightweight
Midfielder - Male = Featherweight
Defensemen - Female = Featherweight / Bantamweight (Catchweight)
Defensemen - Male = Bantamweight
Defensemen - Female = Atomweight / Strawweight / Flyweight (Catchweight)
Defensemen - Male = Flyweight
Goalie - Any Male Fighter (This will be a Male CATCHWEIGHT FIGHT)

You fight your match ups weight class vs weight class. Women's fights and Goalie battle will be Catchweight.

These are LEGEND fights with retired fighters. I will supply the credits to each participating camp.

The 1st Round will be a group stage where like in the current World Cup you will compete Round Robin vs other coaches in your group the top TBD number of teams in each group move on to the tournament.

This will be similar to the KOK. I will post a schedule once a proper number of people are signed up.

When you say tbd number of groups do you mean we will be teamed eith other coaches? Or are we fielding our own squads?

yeh world cups generally start with 8 groups of 4 teams with the top 2 advancing to the round of 16, then quarters, semis and then final etc, guessing chiefs going with this concept, but obviously with less teams

chief do you think putting a message in the game news side of the game might get guys to come over to the forums to participate?

Any last takers to join in? I'll give it a day or two then close it and begin the scheduling phase + roster turn in.

I'd love to join if there is room, but you know me, always the first to ask after the event is full. at least I'm consistent

I'll play for fun.

It will be a struggle to put a roster together and zero hope for a decent placing but sure why not, I'll play.

Everyone who is signed up please compile your rosters and PM them to me as soon as you can.

I don't have an exact start date but it will be pretty soon like within a week or two at the latest. If anyone is dragging and i'm not around see if you can push them in the right direction to get their team put together and turned in. I will update the first post showing that each member has submitted.

Top 2 winners of each group will move on to the tournament with 4 wild cards from 6 groups to joing them.

16 Teams will move to the tournament to fight single elimination best of 11 fights each round.

All teams are set. Schedule is posted. Rosters are up.

Event starts this Saturday June 9th. It'll go as fast as everyone completes it.

Doesn't matter who sends the fights just need all 11 fights to be completed for each match up.

I'll post when it's time to kick off.

Event kicks off tomorrow morning at AM reset. You can then begin fighting your match up.

Make sure you stick to the proper weight classes for these fights as the women will be fought under Catchweight rules.

If you need Legend Tokens in a camp for this please PM me as i did not go through all fighters individually. PM me which camp needs it and use your camp name + camp ID number please as it helps me pull it up quicker in case somebody has a format mistake in their camp name.

How was the seeding done? DDC had the best record, so he's #1. I got the 2nd best record and I got put in 5th seed? and I have to fight tok right after?

You were the 2 seed. There is literally a "Show Seeds" button on the tournament link...
