We've all had a fighter retire wayyyy too early, so should it stay the same where the minimum retirement age is 7, or be increased to 10?

Added a poll to see what people think, also comment below with your positives or negatives to any change
Should careers be 10yrs instead of 7yrs
You may choose only one

i'd be ok with keeping it 7, but adjusting the numbers so that less fighters get the minimum or close to minimum times. shift the bell curve toward longer careers but still have the possibility of shitty early retirements.

yeh making it less likely could also work, but I still think 7/8 years is still too young IMO

when reading the poll I had the same idea as uli, just lower the chance of retiring under 10YP but dont cut it completely

Personally I like it the way it is now. I have just been absolutely sodomized by early retirements. It pissed me off. But we are all in the same boat and it makes you appreciate the guys who have a long career even more.

I hope it stays the same.

Chief already barred that from happening when I asked him years back since MMArmy fighters get to fight way more often than their real life counterparts, and I find myself agreeing.

Have you seen how high the stats can get for some of the 13+ year olds? 20 yo would just beat the ever living shit out of everyone else especially now that you get 3-5 yo in EFC regularly. The advantage would be too big.

Only way that happens is if stat degradation gets put in, which pretty much no one wants. You don't get guys 20+ years in the game remain at a high level save for a few exceptions and usually in dog shit divisions.

That's impressive. Look at september 2006 in his fight history and notice how he knocked the same guy out in the first round three times in one month smile Knocked him out again in december of the same year. The other guy ("The man of steel") had a 1-15 career with the one win because of an injury of his opponent and lost the rest by KO or submission. "Report a feeder"-thread here I come.

TKO Retirement is basically when they quit. Usually between rounds when they realize they can't handle the fight anymore and chose to stop the fight.

I vote to keep it 7. It makes people less likely to incubate knowing your time could potentially be wasted on a fighter who retires early.
