Triad Trials

Start Sunday march 8

Roster of 3 fighters per weight class (no alternates allowed)

Limit of 1 fighter per coach per weight class per Trial (a coach may have submissions for all five weight classes)

When submitting rosters each fighter must be assigned a number (1,2 or 3)...this will determine matchups

Rosters will pm'd to chief...once he has all rosters then he will pm me so that I can post the matchups

Trial 1 roster submission will be due Sunday March 8 at 8pm...once chief sends them then I will post them...once they are posted all fights all fights will have the rest of that reset and the next two to be completed

Trial 2 roster submission will begin the following reset after Trial 1's completion and alliances will have until 8pm two days later to submit them...fight rules are the same

Trial 3 roster submissions will follow the same pattern as Trial 2

Once all three trials are completed the final scores will be posted and round two match ups will be posted

This will be a double elimination tournament

Medals will be awarded to to the winning alliance (alliance members who had fighters participate)

Round 1 (based on alliance standings following Chiefs event)

1 vs 6
2 vs 5
3 vs 4

Round 2

Highest scoring winning team will face the second highest scoring losing team

Second highest scoring winning team will face the highest scoring losing team

Lowest scoring winning team will face the lowest scoring losing team

(In the event that an alliance drops out of the competition then round 2 will be seeded:

Highest scoring winner gets a bye
Second highest scoring winner faces the loser that they did not face in round 1
Lowest scoring winner faces the loser that they did not face in round 1)

Round 3 (and on)

1) highest scoring undefeated / highest scoring 1 loss
2) second highest scoring undefeated / highest or second highest scoring 1 loss
3) third highest scoring undefeated / second or third highest scoring 1 loss
4) fourth highest scoring 1 loss
5) fifth highest scoring 1 loss
6) sixth highest scoring 1 loss

Any alliance that has lost twice is obviously eliminated

Seeding in round 3 will be based off of:
A) record through the first two rounds
B) ties will be broken by (1) total points scored through the first two rounds (2) total number of fights won (3) head to head if they have met (4) original seeding in the event
C) it is possible that a bye or even two will be earned by alliances who won in both rounds

Seeding in subsequent rounds will be determined in the same manner as round 3

Rounds will continue until all but one alliance has lost twice

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is likely that each round (three separate Trials) will take upwards of 9 days to complete although I don't see them taking longer

This may make it seem as though it is too long of an event...the purpose of the 2+ days between rounds is to allow alliances to reposition fighters and to have time to spend on each round of 15 fights...it certainly isn't meant to be long and drawn out for no reason...rather it is designed to test the depth of each alliance in their current state, their ability to come up with a sound strategy and most importantly to kick the shit out of everyone else
