Alex Heaney connects with a right that puts Charpentier off balance tumbling to the mat, as Alex Heaney towers over him. Heaney attempts to drop a fist on Charpentier, but misses and lands in his guard. Alex takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Tristan Charpentiers guard. It doesn't pay off as "Sengoku Power" makes his way to standing. Alex Heaney works Charpentier into the cage, swimming for double underhooks. Alex Heaney presses his head into Charpentiers chest, forcing him to the ground. "Sengoku Power" attempts an armbar. Round 3 Alex Heaney takes a punch to the jaw. He drops his hands and asks "Sengoku Power" to hit him harder. Alex Heaney narrowly dodges a cross from Tristan Charpentier, but falls catching him in his guard. Alex shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Tristan presses the action while in the guard, but Alex Heaney is able to switch him into mount. Tristan pulls Alex Heaney close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Alex Heaney jumps out of mount and back to dominant side control. The round comes to an end.

Alex tries to hyperextend the knee of Charpentier with a kick to the kneecap. Charpentier hops back to avoid it. Alex connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Alex Heaney wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of "Sengoku Power". Round 4 is finished.
Round 5 The fighters circle each other. Alex works Charpentier into the cage, swimming for double underhooks. Alex presses his head into "Sengoku Powers" chest, forcing him to the ground. Alex Heaney rains down hammer fists. Heaney frees a leg and moves into half guard. Alex Heaney opens a cut over the eye of Tristan Charpentier. The doctor takes a look at it, and says he's okay to continue. Alex Heaney tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Tristan holds the head of Alex Heaney close to avoid shots. Alex Heaney slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
