Round 1
Cardenas attempts a striking combination, but Juanito forces the clinch. Cervantes works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Ruy Cardenas takes the back of Juanito who works for a kimura. Ruy Cardenas pulls his arm out of the hold and push Juanito away. Juanito connects with jab cross combination. "el Fantasma" hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. "el Fantasma" circles "La Cobija", keeping him at bay with quick strikes. "La Cobija" attempts a takedown but slips, and Cervantes backs away. Cervantes is standing over "La Cobija". Juanito Cervantes stands over Ruy, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Ruy cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
Juanito Cervantes keeps Cardenas at a distance with some well timed jabs. Ruy Cardenas throws a hard jab but "el Fantasma" throws a cross right over the top rocking Ruy Cardenas. Juanito circles "La Cobija", landing jabs at will. Cardenas lands a double jab. Juanito throws a hard jab but Ruy Cardenas throws a cross right over the top rocking Juanito. Cervantes lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Ruy. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. "La Cobija" throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Cervantes. "el Fantasma" ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Ruy Cardenas and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. A welt begins to form under Juanito Cervantess eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Ruy Cardenas. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Ruy Cardenas connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Round 3 comes to a close.

Round 4
Cervantes hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. "La Cobija" connects with numerous jabs to the face of Juanito. Ruy Cardenas executes a single leg giving him the back of "el Fantasma". Cervantes eats a few stiff shots from Ruy Cardenas, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. Ruy Cardenas punishes Juanito Cervantes with a series of strikes from the mount. "el Fantasma" arches his body up to buck off "La Cobija" from mount. A scramble takes place leading to both fighters back to their feet.Round 4 comes to a close.

Round 5
Cervantes throws a hard jab but Ruy throws a cross right over the top rocking Cervantes. Ruy Cardenas circles Juanito, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Ruy circles Cervantes, landing jabs and crosses at will. Juanito Cervantes hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Cardenas is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, "el Fantasma" prepares to pounce, but Cardenas gets his bearings just in time. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
