Round 1 "Melee Malay" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. "Melee Malay" throws a few strikes allowing him to clinch with his opponent. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Neal attempts a knee but is taken down by a basic trip. Gao lands in half guard. Billy holds the head of "Melee Malay" close to avoid shots. "Melee Malay" slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Gao hits Billy with some punches to the side of the head. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Gao throws a hard jab but Billy Neal throws a cross right over the top rocking Gao. Neal tries to hyperextend the knee of Gao with a kick to the kneecap. Gao hops back to avoid it. Billy connects with a strong body shot combo. Gao attempts a striking combination, but Neal forces the clinch. A stiff elbow looks to have Chiam dazed. Neal lands a powerful knee to the face of Gao. Neal works to Chiams back while standing. Neal throws a couple of outside shots until "Melee Malay" is able to work his way back to the clinch. Billy Neal pushes Chiam Gao into the cage. Chiam Gao works a whizzer and attempts to turn Billy Neal but Billy Neal illegally grabs the cage for leverage. The referee is not in postition to see it. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Neal snaps back the head of Gao with a stiff jab. Gao connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. A wild hook from Gao is ducked by Billy who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. "Melee Malay" connects with a hard punch making Billy Neal bring him in to a tight clinch. Chiam works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Gao is hit by successive knees on either side of his ribcage. "The Heel" takes Chiam Gaos back standing. "The Heel" lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. "Melee Malay" is able to work his way back around. Both fighters jockeying in the clinch. Chiam Gao grabs an arm of Billy turns and dumps him over his body with a Seoi Nage. Chiam Gao drops into side control.Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Chiam hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of "The Heel". Billy Neal connects with a series of punches forcing Chiam Gao into a clinch. Neal stomps the feet of Chiam Gao. Neal is able to work to two overhooks and lands some strong knees and short hooks. Gao lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Chiam goes for a shot, but Neal uses a switch to take his opponents back. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Billy Neal fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Chiam. Chiam Gao receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Neal is jockeying for position in the clinch. Gao attempts to grab the plum but is kept off balance by Neals strikes. "The Heel" connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Chiam Gao is dazed on the mat. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
