Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Lucas gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. While tied up, Katsuo is met with a hard uppercut. A lazy leg kick from Katsuo is caught by Phillips who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Katsuo. Lucas Phillips drops a huge strike to Katsuo Sugitas chin, landing into his guard. Lucas sits up in "The beachboys" open guard and spins to an leg lock. Katsuo Sugita is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. A couple of powerful body shots forces Sugita back to the cage. Phillips swims to double underhooks. Sugita cannot stop Phillips from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Katsuo Sugita is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Sugita pulls Lucas close to attempt a switch but Lucas locks a can opener. Sugita tries to struggle out but Lucas is too strong and forces Sugita to tap.
