Round 1 Hafez attempts a takedown, but Sam Collins clumsily falls down without much provocation. Hafez Baraghani stands over "Jelly Droolers", works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. "Jelly Droolers" is able to grab an arm and pull Hafez Baraghani into his guard. Sam Collins is almost caught in a omoplata but is able to work his way back to guard. Sam attempts a few a shots from the guard, but gets mounted for his troubles. Collins attempts to buck Hafez off from mount but Hafez keeps his base and maintains position. Hafez Baraghani telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but "Jelly Droolers" gives up his back to stop the attempt. Giving up his back, "Jelly Droolers" panics and gives up mount instead. Sam shifts his head and hips to keep Hafez off balance and unable to land strikes.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 A wild hook from Baraghani is ducked by Collins who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Hafez hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Sam Collins connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Hafez Baraghani. Baraghani connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Both fighters begin to exchange Hafez Baraghani catches Sam Collins with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Sam Collins gather himself. Sam Collins says he is ok and the fight continues. Collins takes down Hafez, but remains standing over him. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Baraghani connects with a strong body shot combo. Hafez Baraghani presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Sam, aggressively pulling guard. Baraghani is almost caught in a omoplata but is able to work his way back to guard. Sam frees a leg and moves into half guard. "Jelly Droolers" attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Hafez gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Hafez holds the head of Collins close to avoid shots. Collins slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Hafez Baraghani pops his head under the arm of Collins reaches down and grabs the foot. Wrenches up for a calf lock. Collins rolls out of the attempt. Hafez Baraghani dives into half guard. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Hafez works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Hafez Baraghani dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Sam Collins standing over him. Sam Collins attempts to drop a fist on Hafez, but misses and lands in his guard. Baraghani is almost caught in a omoplata but is able to work his way back to guard. Collins tries to pass guard but Baraghani stops him with a well timed punch. Hafez begins to posture on his side. "Jelly Droolers" lands a couple of outside hooks and Hafez returns to the guard. Baraghani lands an omoplata but Sam Collins rolls out of it leading both fighters to a stand up. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 "Jelly Droolers" connects with a strong body shot combo. Hafez Baraghani attempts a takedown but slips, and "Jelly Droolers" backs away. "Jelly Droolers" is standing over Hafez Baraghani. Sam hovers over Baraghani pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. Baraghani sends a hard up kick that rocks Sam. Baraghani stands back up. Baraghani attempts a takedown but slips, and Sam Collins backs away. Sam Collins is standing over Baraghani. Sam drops a huge strike to Hafez Baraghanis chin, landing into his guard. Baraghani begins to posture on his side. Sam Collins lands a couple of outside hooks and Baraghani returns to the guard. Hafez backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. The bell signals the end of round 5.
