Round 1 Boryenka Borisov connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Rogers tries to hyperextend the knee of "Smirnoff" with a kick to the kneecap. "Smirnoff" hops back to avoid it. Jon connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Borisov. Jon hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Boryenka Borisov. "Smirnoff" circles Rogers, landing jabs and crosses at will. "Smirnoff" stuffs a shot from Jon Rogers and strikes two solid knees to his skull. Jon Rogers is stunned and "Smirnoff" takes mount with in a quick scramble.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Jon fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Boryenka Borisov to the cage. Boryenka Borisov swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Boryenka Borisov is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Jon. Jon takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Boryenka Borisovs guard. It doesn't pay off as Boryenka makes his way to standing. Jon Rogers hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Jon Rogers takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Boryenka is caught with a double leg takedown, forcing him to give side control. Boryenka Borisov takes a few knees to the body while under Jon Rogerss side control. Boryenka gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Jon narrowly dodges a cross from Borisov, but falls catching him in his guard. Jon works for a triangle but Boryenka Borisov throws Jon Rogerss straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. Jon tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Borisov slips out of half guard and into side control. Boryenka wraps the arm of Jon Rogers behind his back and traps it. Boryenka pounds away with shots to the face. Rogers gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Boryenka Borisov stuff a shot from Jon and lands several shots to the body. Jon attempts to pull guard but Boryenka Borisov pushes his way to half guard. Borisov presses his foot onto the thigh of Jon Rogers to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Jon almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. Jon Rogers gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As "Smirnoff" spins around to take it, Jon Rogers makes his way back to his feet. Jon Rogers is hit with a jab and then taken down by a beautiful single-leg takedown. Jon Rogers shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. While caught in the guard, Boryenka opens up a cut on Jon with a devestating elbow. Jon attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. The bell signals the end of round 4.
Round 5 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Boryenka works Jon into the cage from the clinch. Boryenka presses his head under Jon Rogerss chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Jon attempts a takedown from the clinch, but "Smirnoff" pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. "Smirnoff" connects with numerous jabs to the face of Jon. Both fighters begin to exchange Jon catches Borisov with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Borisov gather himself. Borisov says he is ok and the fight continues. Borisov stands over Jon, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Jon cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
