Round 1 Nathan Wright takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Christian Wood lands a double jab. A wild hook from Wright is ducked by Wood who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Nathan Wright attempts a lazy shot, which Christian Wood sprawls, eventually taking Nathan Wright back. Nathan tries to explode out the backdoor but "Candycane" sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Nathan falls flat to protect himself. Christian Wood begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Nathan rolls to being mounted instead. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Christian Wood begins to clinch with Nathan, but Nathan presses out of it burning up quite a bit of energy. Christian Wood connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Wood lands a hook to the body then a straight cross to the sternum. Nathan throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Christian Wood puts Nathan on the mat giving his back up. "FireBall" tries to stand up but "Candycane" plants him back down with several strikes. Giving up his back, "FireBall" panics and gives up mount instead. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 "Candycanes" limp is apparent as Wright lands multiple outside leg kicks. Nathan Wright is cornered by "Candycane" who tries to press the action. Nathan Wright is able to block well and circles away from "Candycane", delivering a chopping leg kick and a grazing cross as he does so. Nathan Wright catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Christian. Nathan kicks at the legs of Christian and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Christian to stand. Christian Wood throws a hard jab but Nathan Wright throws a cross right over the top that knocks Christian Wood to the ground. Nathan kicks at the thighs of Wood. Nathan Wright lays into Christian Woods thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Christian does so. Nathan connects with numerous jabs to the face of Christian Wood. Wright connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of "Candycane". The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Wright lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. Wright keeps Wood at a distance with some well timed jabs. A lazy leg kick from Wood is caught by Nathan who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Wood. Nathan Wright grabs a foot and kicks at Woods thighs. He then backs off and Christian Wood stands back up. A lazy leg kick from "Candycane" is caught by Nathan Wright who lands a huge overhand right, flooring "Candycane". Nathan Wright stands over Christian, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Christian cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. "FireBall" kicks at the legs of Christian and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Christian to stand. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Nathan Wright sends Wood to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. The bell signals the end of round 4.
Round 5 Christian Wood weaves through a jab-cross combo but is met with a strong knee. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. "FireBall" parries Woods jab and lands a liver shot that buckles Christian Wood. Christian Wood rolls to his back with "FireBall" standing over him. Nathan lays into Woods thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Christian Wood does so. A lazy leg kick from "Candycane" is caught by Nathan who lands a huge overhand right, flooring "Candycane". Nathan stands over "Candycane", works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. "Candycane" cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Nathan kicks at the legs of "Candycane" and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells "Candycane" to stand. "FireBall" circles Christian, mixing jabs with body shots. Christian Woods limp is apparent as Nathan lands multiple outside leg kicks. The round comes to an end.
