Round 1 "Boogaloo" fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Caio Babenco. Joseph places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Joseph attempts to grab the plum but " Sensation" takes the opportunity to attain double underhooks and take down Joseph. Brennan locks a triangle but Caio defends well. Brennan decides to let go of the hold. A strong chopping strike hits Babenco across the face. Babenco lands a series of return strikes. A tight body triangle from the bottom position forces " Sensation" to pull Joseph Brennan close. " Sensation" is having trouble breathing in Joseph Brennans guard. " Sensation" attempts to pass Joseph Brennans guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Caio loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by "Boogaloo" for the mistake. "Boogaloo" has side control. Babenco is wisely defending a kimura. Brennan attempts to take it but Babenco is having none of it, though Brennan has used the chance the slide into mount. Joseph Brennan maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. " Sensation" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Joseph Brennan locks in a body triangle as he takes shots at Babenco. Caio Babenco carefully protects himself from "Boogaloos" strikes. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Joseph fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Caio Babenco. Brennan works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Brennan attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with " Sensation" standing over him. " Sensation" attempts to drop a fist on Brennan, but misses and lands in his guard. Joseph dodges some ground strikes from Babenco, and sends a few back of his own. Brennan shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. "Boogaloo" locks a triangle but " Sensation" defends well. "Boogaloo" continues the attempt but finally decides to let go. Caios face is red from the choke and sits low in the guard to catch his breath. Babenco opens up the guard and rises back to his feet. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 Brennan attempts a takedown, but " Sensation" clumsily falls down without much provocation. Brennan stands over Babenco, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Babenco is able to grab an arm and pull Brennan into his guard. Joseph Brennan drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Joseph distracts Caio Babenco with peppering shots. Joseph then isolates a leg and sinks a achilles lock. Caio Babenco is able to force his way out but gives up mount in the ensuing scramble. Joseph maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Babenco gets pummeled by the fists of Joseph Brennan. Babenco gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Brennan attempts to lock in a rear naked choke, but " Sensation" rolls into to mount to cleverly avoid it. Joseph secures his position. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 Caio Babenco fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with "Boogaloo". Caio Babenco works to "Boogaloos" back while standing. Caio Babenco throws a couple of outside shots until "Boogaloo" is able to work his way back to the clinch. Joseph takes the back of Caio Babenco who works for a kimura. Joseph pulls his arm out of the hold and push Caio Babenco away. Babenco catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Joseph. Caio Babenco drops a huge strike to "Boogaloos" chin, landing into his guard. Babenco takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Josephs guard. It doesn't pay off as Brennan makes his way to standing. Brennan is hit with a jab and then taken down by a beautiful single-leg takedown. Caio knocks the wind out of Brennan with a strong elbow strike to the abdomen. Chop shots lands on Caios face but he lowers his head, pushes his hand through Josephs guard and chucks him to his side. " Sensation" moves to side control. The bell signals the end of round 5.
