Round 1 Ward lowers his hands to block a body kick, but Buzz Smith switches to a high kick and rattles the jaw of Ward.
Smith connects with a hard punch making Buzz Ward bring him in to a tight clinch. "The Warden" drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. "Lightyears" attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Ward connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. "Lightyears" throws a cross that easily dodged by "The Warden". "Lightyears" lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a strong uppercut. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 A welt begins to form under "The Wardens" eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Smith. "Lightyears" strikes with a straight front kick. A jab from Buzz Ward is blocked and a cross is returned by Smith. Buzz Ward throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Smith. Smith connects with a teep to the face of "The Warden". Smith connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Ward. A looping right hook from "Lightyears" sends Ward to the mat. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Buzz Smith throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from "The Warden". Buzz Ward throws a teep backing Smith off. "The Warden" takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Smith keeps "The Warden" at a distance with some well timed jabs. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Ward hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. "Lightyears" lands a jab, but it is returned by a sick uppercut from Buzz Ward. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Buzz Smith lands a solid kick to the front leg of Buzz Ward. "Lightyears" clinches with "The Warden" and pulls guard but "The Warden" gets in his half guard on the way down. Round 4 is finished.
Round 5 Buzz Ward slips a cross from "Lightyears" and lands jab cross to the body. Ward fires a haymaker but misses spinning himself around. Buzz Smith quickly takes his back. Ward carefully protects himself from Buzz Smiths strikes. Buzz Ward is able to make it back to the standing position. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Ward lands a hook to the body then a straight cross to the sternum. "Lightyears" weaves through a jab-cross combo but is met with a strong knee. The bell signals the end of round 5.
