Round 1
Gabe Ward is staggered by a jab to the chin. Makoto catches a leg kick from Ward, and puts him on the mat. Ward is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Makoto. Makoto pushes down Gabes leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Makoto tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Makoto slips out of half guard and into side control. Gabe gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Ward starts to wiggle out of back control, Makoto Nakasato lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Gabe takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
Ward stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. Gabe Ward works for a triangle but Makoto Nakasato throws Gabe Wards straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. "smalls" tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Makoto Nakasato slips out of half guard and into side control. Gabe Ward takes a few knees to the body while under "smallss" side control. "smalls" drops some hammer fists on Gabe Ward. The bell signals the end of round 2.

Round 3
The fighters circle each other. Makoto Nakasato narrowly dodges a cross from Ward, but falls catching him in his guard. Makoto connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Gabe presses the action while in the guard, but Makoto Nakasato is able to switch him into mount. "smalls" maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Nakasato secures his position. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
