Duval is dazed on the mat. Jamal drops a huge strike to Duvals chin, landing into his guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Duval connects with a series of punches forcing Scott into a clinch. Jamal receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Jamal Scott attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Yves Duval pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Jamal is met with a cross and a liver shot that staggers him. Yves Duval explodes with a flurry of punches. Jamal is then thrown to the floor. Yves Duval drops a huge strike to Scotts chin, landing into his guard. Jamal Scott backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Scott narrowly dodges a cross from Yves, but falls catching him in his guard. Duval dodges a few strikes from Jamal Scott and lands an elbow followed by a hammerfist. A couple of hard outside strikes opens up Jamals guard and Yves is able to move to half guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Jamal Scott connects a few knees to the upper torso of Yves Duval. Duval dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Jamal Scott standing over him. Jamal attempts to drop a fist on Duval, but misses and lands in his guard. Duval connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Yves connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position.
