Round 1 A welt begins to form under Juliens eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Marino. Julien eats a strong cross as Filippo Marino moves into the clinch. Filippo grabs the plum and pulls "Big Macs" face into a powerful knee. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Berger works Filippo into the cage from the clinch. Berger presses his head under Filippo Marinos chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Julien takes Marinos back standing, but Filippo isolates an arm and locks a spinning kimura ending up in side mount. Julien Berger takes a few knees to the body while under Marinos side control. Filippo slides his knee across the body of "Big Mac" and takes full mount. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Berger shoots in for a takedown but the attempt is stuffed by Marino. Berger sneaks a foot behind Marinos leg and takes him to the mat, landing in side control. Berger slides his knee across the body of Filippo Marino and takes full mount. Marino lands a good elbow as Berger lowers his torso. Filippo gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Julien peppers Marino with several shots to the face. Filippo slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Filippo takes a punch and goes to the mat, Julien Berger pounces into side control. Filippo recovers quickly. Julien Berger slides his knee across the body of Filippo Marino and takes full mount. Marino shifts his head and hips to keep Julien off balance and unable to land strikes. Marino gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Berger tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Giving up his back, Filippo Marino panics and gives up mount instead. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Marino keeps "Big Mac" at a distance with some well timed jabs. Marino starts to put on the pressure, forcing Berger back into the cage. Marino takes advantage and clinches. Berger receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Filippo. Julien Berger receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Filippo. Marino works Julien Berger into the cage from the clinch. Marino presses his head under Julien Bergers chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Filippo Marino nails a throw from the clinch landing into side control. Filippo Marino takes the opening and locks in a kimura. Julien taps in pain.
