Round 1 Belfort grabs for a clinch but Cannon grazes him with an uppercut. Belfort staggers back, then surprises Cannon with a powerful superman punch. Cannon throws a hard jab but Belfort throws a cross right over the top rocking Cannon. Jean Cannon connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Jean hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Belfort. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 After dodging a jab-cross, Cannon lands a kick to the liver of Belfort who steps back and begins to take a knee. Cannon rushes forward to capitalize but Belfort stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Jean Cannon lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Assis circling away. Jean Cannon pushes away from Assis Belfort and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Cannon snaps back the head of Assis with a stiff jab. Assis Belfort circles to the right. Jean hits a hard spinning back kick to the body. Cannon strikes with a straight front kick. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Jean Cannon throws a push kick. Belfort shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Jeans nose.
Jean Cannon throws a teep backing Belfort off. Assis Belfort parries Cannons jab and lands an uppercut that floors Cannon. Belfort kicks at the legs of Cannon and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Cannon to stand. Cannon backs away as "Thicker Than Oatmeal" darts in. Cannon jumps forward in a somersault motion connection with a flip kick that rocks "Thicker Than Oatmeal". "Thicker Than Oatmeal" stands over Cannon, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Cannon cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Belfort kicks at the legs of Jean Cannon and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Jean Cannon to stand. Belfort throws a few jabs at Jean that miss the mark. Cannon lands a solid kick to the front leg of Assis Belfort. Round 3 comes to a close.
