Round 1 Assis Belfort slips a cross from "Kumite" and lands an uppercut to the liver. Jim moves in to press the action, but Belfort lands a heavy back kick. Jim lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Assis. Assis Belfort slips a cross from "Kumite" and lands an uppercut to the liver. "Kumite" circles Assis Belfort, landing a front snap kick that stuns him. Douglas gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Jim takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Belfort lands a jab, but it is returned by a sick uppercut from Douglas. Jim Douglas parries a jab but leaves himself open for an uppercut. Belfort counters a jab with a stiff uppercut. Assis circles Douglas, landing jabs and crosses at will. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" continually moves away from Douglas, who stalks him patiently, occasionally landing a jab or cross. Belfort is able to press Douglas to the cage, forcing a momentary clinch. Douglas wriggles out of the clinch and throws looping hooks to back Belfort off. Assis Belfort connects with a hard jab as Douglas attempts a wide outside hook. Jim Douglas parries "Thicker Than Oatmeals" jab and lands a liver shot. Jim dodges a series of strikes from Belfort and counters with a body shot and cross. Jim then backs up and wags a finger at Belfort. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Jim Douglas locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Assis Belfort. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" receives a couple of stiff short hooks in the clinch. Belfort fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening Jim up for a flurry of hooks. "Kumite" parries Assis Belforts jab and lands an uppercut. Jim throws a combination of punches ducking and feinting return shots. Jim smiling with his hands down as he shuffles in and out. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Douglas wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of "Thicker Than Oatmeal". Round 3 is finished.
