Round 1 Mario Gallegos begins to clinch with "Kicks the ", but "Kicks the " presses out of it burning up quite a bit of energy. The fighters circle each other. Gallegos hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Kagina connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Kato tries to hyperextend the knee of "Super Mario" with a kick to the kneecap. "Super Mario" hops back to avoid it. Kato Kagina feints and follows up with a hard cross. Mario stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. Kato Kagina connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. A jab from Mario Gallegos is blocked and a cross is returned by "Kicks the ". Mario is dizzied on his feet from a furious punching sequence from Kato Kagina. "Kicks the " parries "Super Marios" jab and connect with a cross. Gallegos shoots in on Kato who sprawls well and lands multiple outside strikes. Gallegos gives up on the shot and rolls to his guard. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Kagina lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Gallegos recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Kato Kagina circles Mario Gallegos, landing jabs at will. Mario is staggered by a jab to the chin. Kagina circles Mario Gallegos, mixing jabs with body shots. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Kato connects with a strong body shot combo. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Gallegos wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Kagina. Kato almost switches side control around, but falls short at the last moment. "Super Mario" drops some good elbows to the face of Kato Kagina forcing him to give up his back. Mario Gallegos is working a furious pace on "Kicks the ", intermingling strikes with positional dominance at will. Kato starts to wiggle out of back control, Gallegos lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Round 3 is over.
Round 4 "Super Mario" moves in to press the action, but Kato Kagina lands a heavy back kick. Gallegos keeps "Kicks the " at a distance with some well timed jabs. Gallegos grabs for a clinch but "Kicks the " grazes him with an uppercut. Gallegos staggers back, then surprises "Kicks the " with a powerful superman punch. Gallegos reaches down and trips Kato Kagina with a beautiful ankle pick. Gallegos dives into back control. "Super Mario" peppers shot to the head of Kagina looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Kagina is hand playing well. Giving up his back, Kagina panics and gives up mount instead. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 "Super Mario" connects with a hard punch making Kato bring him in to a tight clinch. Gallegos receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Kato Kagina. Mario takes Kato Kaginas back standing, but "Kicks the " isolates an arm and locks a spinning kimura but Mario squirms out and both fighters end up standing. "Kicks the " hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. "Kicks the " is hit with two hard punches to his face. "Kicks the " laughs off the punches. Kagina connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Gallegos is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. "Kicks the " hovers over Gallegos pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. "Kicks the " waves for Gallegos to stand up. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
