Round 1 Carvalho circles April Erickson, landing jabs and crosses at will. April Erickson eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Carvalho. Erickson connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. April connects with a strong body shot combo. Ana Clara circles April Erickson, landing jabs at will. April Erickson is staggered by a jab to the chin. April stuff a shot from Ana Clara Carvalho and lands several shots to the body. Ana Clara Carvalho attempts to pull guard but April pushes her way to half guard. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Carvalho connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. April loses her balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Ana Clara for the mistake. Ana Clara has side control. Carvalho attempts an armbar, but April stops the attempt. Carvalho uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Erickson arches her body up to buck off Carvalho from mount. A scramble takes place leading to both fighters back to their feet. Carvalho is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Erickson. Ana Clara connects with a strong body shot combo. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch April wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Carvalho.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Ana Clara Carvalho connects with a hard punch making April Erickson bring her in to a tight clinch. Carvalho works April Erickson into the cage from the clinch. Carvalho presses her head under April Ericksons chin so she cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Ana Clara escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Erickson circles Ana Clara, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Ana Clara Carvalho counters a jab with a stiff uppercut. April Erickson hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Carvalho. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
