Due to the motivation that a few in the shout box have provided me and the fact that it is indeed my favorite time of the sporting year - I bring back the 2014 Lord Stanley's Challenge. Hatch was the champion of the last one with an epic showing.
Each "team" (camp) will field 6 fighters (C, LW, RW, D, D, G). Each fighter must fight once. If it goes to fight #7 in the series - The away team will post the fighter they wish to use. The home team will pick their fighter last, but the away team still pays for the fight since they are the lower seed.
All fights will be at CW.
Conferences will be randomized by me. Seeding is determined by the combined number of EFC titles amongst the 6 fighters. Tiebreaker is 1) The average p4p rank and 2) Combined number of wins.
Each round is the best of 7 fights. Top seeded team gets to pick fights 1,2,5 and the wildcard #7 matchups. Lower seeded team gets to pick 3,4,6 fights. First one to win 4 fights moves onto the next round. Each round shall take no more than 1 week to complete from the time I post each round. I will post a new thread for each round to post your results.
Goalie change rule - you can sub out 1 fighter and sub in another prior to the start of rounds 2, 3, 4.
Next - since this is legend fights it's going to cost you some coin. The max number of fights you will pay for is 16 - and most likely less. So the most this will cost you is $4 per camp. If you don't want to pay then don't sign up. Each fighter will pay for their "home team" fights - except for the 7th. Lower seed pays.
I went to Random.org and plugged in the list in the order that people signed up - and got our conferences. There is no rhyme or reason to what conference anyone is in. Seeding is based on total EFC belts.
