Round 1 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Valerii Voronin drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Shelton sets a guillotine choke but Valerii Voronin slips out at the last moment. Valerii Voronin is now caught in guard. Shelton backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. "The Simple Giant" winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Clark pummels Valerii Voronin with a series of rapid fire fists. Shelton ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Voronin to the mat, and his back. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 "The Simple Giant" throws a hard jab but Shelton throws a cross right over the top rocking "The Simple Giant". Shelton Clark connects with a hard punch making Valerii bring him in to a tight clinch. Voronin drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "The Simple Giant" is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Shelton. Clark feints and follows up with a hard cross. Voronin stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Clark connects with jab cross combination. Valerii Voronin hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Shelton Clark. Clark connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Valerii takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Voronin is staggered by a jab to the chin. Shelton Clark lands a double jab. Shelton parries Voronins jab and connect with a cross. Voronin keeps Shelton at a distance with some well timed jabs. Shelton Clark lands a double jab. Shelton gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Shelton keeps "The Simple Giant" at a distance with some well timed jabs. Shelton Clark throws a hard jab but "The Simple Giant" throws a cross right over the top rocking Shelton Clark. Shelton connects with jab cross combination. "The Simple Giant" fires a haymaker but misses spinning himself around. Clark quickly takes his back.Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 "The Simple Giant" is thrown for a tizzy by the sheer volume of punches that Shelton Clark is throwing his direction. Voronin attempts to clinch, but Shelton Clark connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. The fighters circle each other. Shelton feints and follows up with a hard crossto the head of Valerii Voronin. Shelton snaps back the head of Voronin with a stiff jab. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Round 5 comes to a close.
