Round 1 Roberts eats a strong cross as Procopio moves into the clinch. Gonzalez directs the head of Roberts leading to a stiff knee to the face. Roberts attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Gonzalez pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Otis Roberts takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Procopio connects with a series of punches forcing Otis Roberts into a clinch. Gonzalez works to Otis Robertss back while standing. Gonzalez throws a couple of outside shots until Roberts is able to work his way back to the clinch. Procopio connects a few knees to the upper torso of Roberts. Procopio Gonzalez works Otis Roberts into the cage from the clinch. Procopio Gonzalez presses his head under Otiss chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Both fighters begin to exchange Procopio Gonzalez catches Otis with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Otis gather himself. Otis says he is ok and the fight continues. A welt begins to form under Otis Robertss eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Procopio. Otis is staggered by a jab to the chin. Gonzalez starts to put on the pressure, forcing Roberts back into the cage. Gonzalez takes advantage and clinches. Gonzalez works Roberts into the cage from the clinch. Gonzalez presses his head under Otiss chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Gonzalez is jockeying for position in the clinch. Otis receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Gonzalez. Otis Roberts lands multiple piston shots and short uppercuts to soften up Procopio Gonzalez for a trip takedown. Procopio Gonzalez is able to pull a switch mid-trip and lands in Robertss half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Otis lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. Otis sends Procopio to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Procopio begins to posture on his side. Otis lands a couple of outside hooks and Procopio returns to the guard. Roberts pushes down Procopio Gonzalezs leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Gonzalez tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Otis Roberts slips out of half guard and into side control. Otis Roberts postures up and lands a couple of strong elbows to the head of Procopio. Procopio rolls away from Otis Roberts but Otis Roberts follows him and takes his back. Procopio slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Otis Roberts grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow to the head of Procopio. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Gonzalez circles Otis, landing jabs and crosses at will. Procopio Gonzalez connects with a hard jab as Otis attempts a wide outside hook. Procopio Gonzalez lands a double jab. Otis Roberts snaps back the head of Procopio Gonzalez with a stiff jab. Procopio connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Procopio Gonzalez connects with a hard right hand putting Roberts on the mat. Procopio Gonzalez goes down with him into side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 A shot is side stepped by Roberts but quick reflexes and footwork lead to a second attempt that takes down Roberts. Procopio settles into his guard. Roberts is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Procopio Gonzalez takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Otiss guard. It doesn't pay off as Otis makes his way to standing. Procopio parries Otiss jab and connect with a cross. Gonzalez throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Otis Roberts is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Procopio Gonzalez executes a beautiful double leg takedown, putting Otis to the mat, and Procopio Gonzalez into side control. Procopio drops some hammer fists on Otis. Procopio moves to north-south position. Otis Roberts begins to roll out from under Procopio but Procopio is able scramble to Robertss back. Round 5 is finished.
