Round 1 Delun is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Clark lands a lunging, looping hook to "the Devastators" temple. Delun takes in a well composed combination of quick strikes from Shelton. After dodging a jab-cross, Clark lands a kick to the liver of Delun who steps back and begins to take a knee. Clark rushes forward to capitalize but Delun stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. "the Devastator" winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Shelton Clark circles away from Luo, landing strong kicks to the lead leg. A low kick is shin checked by Shelton Clark who retaliates with a superman punch that floors Delun. Shelton Clark moves back until the ref stands Delun up. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Shelton Clark fakes a push kick, switching into a roundhouse to the head of Delun. Shelton Clark lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Delun Luo circling away. Delun Luo is hit with a hook and a shovel punch and stumbles backward. Shelton Clark explodes forward with a superman punch that drops Delun Luo to the canvas. Clark lays into Luos thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. "the Devastator" does so. Shelton parries Deluns jab and connect with a cross that floors Delun. Shelton Clark attempts to stomps his face. Luo takes a partial stomp and attempts to trap a leg but Shelton Clark is too quick and escapes back to standing. Shelton Clark kicks at the legs of Delun and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Delun to stand. Luo connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Delun throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Shelton. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Delun Luo lands a jab, but it is returned by a sick uppercut from Shelton Clark. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Luo drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Clark sets a guillotine choke but Luo slips out at the last moment. Luo is now caught in guard. Shelton moves to half guard then is able to grab a butterfly guard, eventually working to standing. Shelton circles Delun, landing jabs at will. Shelton unleashes a flurry of punches on Luo. Clark dodges a jab and lands a kick to the face of "the Devastator". Round 3 is over.
Round 4 Delun Luo tries to hyperextend the knee of Shelton with a kick to the kneecap. Shelton hops back to avoid it. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Luo drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Clark sets a guillotine choke but Luo slips out at the last moment. Luo is now caught in guard. Delun takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Sheltons guard. It doesn't pay off as Shelton Clark makes his way to standing. Both fighters begin to exchange Clark catches Luo with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Luo gather himself. Luo says he is ok and the fight continues. Luo tries to find his distance but Clark is able to land two looping hooks that stun Luo, who warily backs away. Clark blocks a cross, liver shot combo but is pushed backward. Delun Luo tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keep him at bay. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Delun Luo parries a jab but leaves himself open for a hard cross that sends him to the canvas. Shelton follows with a falling punch into Deluns guard. "the Devastator" dodges some ground strikes from Shelton Clark, and sends a few back of his own. "the Devastator" attempts to create some space from his guard, but Shelton Clark sees the opening and passes to full mount. Delun gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Shelton Clark tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Delun Luo starts to wiggle out of back control, Shelton Clark lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Clark locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Luo. Luo works Shelton Clark into the cage from the clinch. Luo presses his head under Sheltons chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Clark takes Deluns back standing. Delun Luo isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Clark lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Delun Luo to release. Shelton Clark parries Delun Luos jab and lands a liver shot that buckles Delun. Delun rolls to his back with Shelton Clark standing over him. Shelton Clark pounces on Luo, but is met with a powerful upkick. Shelton Clark manages to land into side control though.Round 5 comes to a close.
