Round 1 Shelton attempts to press in but Devon uses a inside reaping to put Shelton on the canvas. Devon hops to side control. Marrero attempts an armbar, but Shelton stops the attempt. Marrero uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Clark lands a good elbow as Devon Marrero lowers his torso. Shelton Clark gets pummeled by the fists of Devon. Shelton Clark gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Devon Marrero peppers shot to the head of Clark looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Clark is hand playing well. Shelton Clark rolls to his back and turtles up. Marrero releases hooks and steps off to the side and immediately hooks an arm with his leg. Marrero grabs his opponents opposite arms and somersaults forward into crucifix position and applies a choke. Shelton Clark struggles and breaks free ending up on top in side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Marrero throws a few jabs at Clark that miss the mark. Shelton hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Shelton gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Marrero begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Clark rolls to being mounted instead. Shelton Clark pulls Devon Marrero close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Devon jumps out of mount and back to dominant side control. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Shelton is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Devon Marrero prepares to pounce, but Shelton gets his bearings just in time. Marrero attempts to drop a fist on Clark, but misses and lands in his guard. Devon Marrero attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Shelton Clark slips out of it at the last moment. Shelton attempts to create some space from his guard, but Devon sees the opening and passes to full mount. Shelton Clark attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Devon telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Clark gives up his back to stop the attempt. Devon lands a series of heavy punches forcing Shelton to roll to his back, giving Devon mount. Devon Marrero punishes Shelton with a series of strikes from the mount. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 The fighters circle each other. Devon Marrero connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Shelton Clark circles Devon Marrero, landing jabs and crosses at will. Shelton parries Devon Marreros jab and lands a hook that floors Devon. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 Devon slides in and grabs a leg lock taking Clark to the ground. Devon works for a heel hook but cannot finish and instead works to guard. Shelton Clark begins to posture on his side. Devon Marrero lands a couple of outside hooks and Shelton Clark returns to the guard. Devon takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Sheltons guard. It doesn't pay off as Shelton makes his way to standing. Clark is staggered by a jab to the chin. Clark hits an uppercut to the head of Marrero followed by a hard hook. Two quick punches opens up Clark for a takedown. Devon pushes in and executes a forward foot sweep that puts Clark on his back. Devon falls into side control. Shelton Clark takes a few knees to the body while under Marreros side control. Devon lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Round 5 is over.
