Round 1 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. "King Of The Ring" connects with a series of punches forcing "Blincoln" into a clinch. Fred Ward works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Fred works to Abe Thompsons back while standing. Fred throws a couple of outside shots until Abe is able to work his way back to the clinch. Ward attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Abe Thompson pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Fred lands a devastating overhand right on Abe. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. "Blincoln" snaps back the head of Ward with a stiff jab. Thompson is met with a hook cross combo that staggers him. "King Of The Ring" explodes forward with a flurry punches that leaves Thompson crumpled on the mat.
