Round 1
Cardenas fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Navarro. Navarro attempts to grab the plum but is kept off balance by Ruys strikes. "La Cobija" takes Sebastian Navarros back standing. Sebastian Navarro isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but "La Cobija" lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Sebastian Navarro to release. Sebastian Navarro winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Ruy Cardenas connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. "La Cobija" snaps back the head of Sebastian Navarro with a stiff jab. Sebastian Navarro is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Ruy stands over Sebastian Navarro, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Sebastian Navarro is able to grab an arm and pull Ruy into his guard. Round 1 is finished.

Round 2
Sebastian throws a few jabs at "La Cobija" that miss the mark. Sebastian Navarro connects with a hard punch making "La Cobija" bring him in to a tight clinch. "La Cobija" uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Ruy Cardenas takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Sebastian Navarros guard. It doesn't pay off as Sebastian makes his way to standing. Sebastian throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. Cardenas is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Sebastian tries to hyperextend the knee of "La Cobija" with a kick to the kneecap. "La Cobija" hops back to avoid it. Navarro connects with a hard right hand putting Cardenas on the mat. Navarro goes down with him into side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 3
Navarro is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Cardenas prepares to pounce, but Navarro gets his bearings just in time. Ruy stands over Navarro, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Navarro is able to grab an arm and pull Ruy into his guard. Navarro is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Sebastian Navarro attempts to create some space from his guard, but "La Cobija" sees the opening and passes to full mount. "La Cobija" executes a double hand slap to the ears of Navarro. Sebastian gets pummeled by the fists of Ruy. Sebastian gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Cardenas begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Sebastian Navarro rolls to being mounted instead. Navarro gets pummeled by the fists of Ruy Cardenas. Round 4
Sebastian Navarro connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Ruy. A couple of powerful body shots forces Sebastian Navarro back to the cage. Ruy swims to double underhooks. Sebastian Navarro cannot stop Ruy from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Ruy dodges a few strikes from Navarro and lands an elbow followed by a hammerfist. Ruy Cardenas bruises up Sebastians face with some double-axe handles. As Sebastian tries o recompose himself, Ruy Cardenas take side control. Ruy Cardenas slides his knee across the body of Sebastian and takes full mount. Ruy splits Sebastian Navarros nose open with a well timed punch. Cardenas punishes Sebastian with a series of strikes from the mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 5
Ruy connects with a hard punch making Sebastian bring him in to a tight clinch. Sebastian works Ruy into the cage from the clinch. Sebastian presses his head under Ruy Cardenass chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Sebastian fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening Ruy Cardenas up for a flurry of hooks. Cardenas connects with a right that puts Sebastian off balance tumbling to the mat, as Cardenas towers over him. Ruy drops a huge strike to Navarros chin, landing into his guard. "La Cobija" takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Sebastians guard. It doesn't pay off as Sebastian makes his way to standing. A couple of powerful body shots forces Navarro back to the cage. Ruy Cardenas swims to double underhooks. Navarro cannot stop Ruy Cardenas from stepping back and taking him to the floor. "La Cobija" knocks the wind out of Sebastian Navarro with a strong elbow strike to the abdomen. Chop shots lands on "La Cobijas" face but he lowers his head, pushes his hand through Sebastian Navarros guard and chucks him to his side. Ruy moves to side control. Round 5 is finished.
