Round 1 Stenberg chips away at Nicolai with a series of kicks to the legs. Kharlamov connects with a hard punch making Edvin Stenberg bring him in to a tight clinch. Edvin drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Nicolai sets a guillotine choke but Edvin slips out at the last moment. Edvin is now caught in guard. Stenberg tries to move to half guard but Kharlamov uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Edvin uses strikes to open Nicolais guard. Edvin stands up and waves Nicolai Kharlamov up. Nicolai throws a hard jab but "2nd chance" throws a cross right over the top that knocks Nicolai to the ground. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 A trip to the ground allows Edvin to move into the guard of Kharlamov. Edvin frees a leg and moves into half guard. Nicolai Kharlamov holds the head of Edvin Stenberg close to avoid shots. Edvin Stenberg slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Nicolai Kharlamov defends short shots well by turning his head. Stenberg attempts to get a leg free to pass but Nicolai Kharlamov has it locked down too well. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Kharlamov drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Edvin Stenberg attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Nicolai Kharlamov slides in and grabs a leg lock taking Stenberg to the ground. Nicolai Kharlamov works for a reverse heel hook but cannot finish and opts to enter Edvins guard. Edvin connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Nicolai Kharlamov is met with a strong kick to the ribs. Nicolai Kharlamov eats a strong cross as Edvin Stenberg moves into the clinch. Nicolai works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Edvin Stenberg places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Stenberg takes Kharlamovs back standing. Kharlamov isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Stenberg lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Kharlamov to release. Stenberg connects with a strong body shot combo. Stenberg connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Nicolai lands a double jab. Kharlamov connects with a strong body shot combo. Round 4 is over.
