Round 1 Eugene Turcotte catches a leg kick from Ward, and puts him on the mat. Turcotte pulls out of the guard of Ward, stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of Ward. Eugene backs his arms out of Dave Wards guard, leaving just his head caught. Eugene slips to the side and gets dominate control. Turcotte lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Eugene Turcotte slides his knee across the body of "Pipe Bomb" and takes full mount. "BeastMode" maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Dave pulls his leg out from under Eugene and gets back to half guard. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Ward presses forward, grabbing the plum and lands a strong hook, buckling "BeastMode" to the mat. Ward stands back and waves "BeastMode" up. A left high kick from Dave keeps Eugene Turcotte at bay. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Eugene Turcotte takes Wards back standing. Dave isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Eugene Turcotte lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Dave to release. Turcotte is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Dave Ward stands over Eugene, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Eugene is able to grab an arm and pull Dave Ward into his guard. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 "BeastMode" connects with a strong body shot combo. A welt begins to form under Dave Wards eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Eugene. "BeastMode" begins to clinch with Dave, but Dave presses out of it burning up quite a bit of energy. Eugene reaches down and trips "Pipe Bomb" with a beautiful ankle pick. Eugene dives into back control. Eugene peppers shot to the head of Dave Ward looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Dave Ward is hand playing well. Eugene is working a furious pace on Ward, intermingling strikes with positional dominance at will. Round 3 is over.
Round 4 Dave Ward tries to stop a shot with a punch but Eugene plows through Daves attempt and ends up in guard. Eugene Turcotte drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Eugene backs his arms out of Daves guard, leaving just his head caught. Eugene slips to the side and gets dominate control. Eugene wraps the arm of Dave Ward behind his back and traps it. Eugene pounds away with shots to the face. Turcotte slides his knee across the body of Ward and takes full mount. Turcotte punishes Ward with a series of strikes from the mount. Eugene postures up and begins to fire off rapid shots from mount but Dave Ward tripods up and sweeps him over to his back. Dave Ward quickly gets himself to mount. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 The fighters circle each other. The fighters circle each other. Turcotte lands a double jab. Eugene ducks under a loopy hoop, taking "Pipe Bomb" to the mat, and his back. Eugene executes a double hand slap to the ears of "Pipe Bomb". Eugene peppers shot to the head of Dave looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Dave is hand playing well. Round 5 comes to a close.
