Round 1 Ajemian connects with a jab cross combination. Gevorg connects with a jab cross combination. Gevorg Ajemian locks in a tight muay thai clinch and lands several knees to the ribs of Chiam Gao. Gao breaks away from the clinch while delivering a knee. Gevorg Ajemian catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Gao. Ajemian stands over Chiam Gao, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Chiam Gao is able to grab an arm and pull Ajemian into his guard. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 "Melee Malay" dodges a jab and clinches with Gevorg Ajemian, delivering a knee as he does so. Gevorg hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Gevorg eats a strong cross as Chiam Gao moves into the clinch. Ajemian receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Chiam Gao. "Melee Malay" works Ajemian into the cage from the clinch. "Melee Malay" presses his head under Gevorgs chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. "Melee Malay" cannot pick up Ajemian who is too strong for his throws. "Melee Malay" opts to use a valley drop and floors Ajemian. "Melee Malay" remains standing. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Chiam parries Ajemians jab and connect with a cross. Ajemian fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Gao. "Melee Malay" takes Ajemians back standing. "Melee Malay" lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. Gevorg Ajemian is able to work his way back around. Gevorg Ajemian attempts a takedown but is out leveraged and taken down himself. Chiam Gao now is in dominant side mount. "Melee Malay" lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Gevorg takes a few knees to the body while under Chiams side control. Gao delivers knees to the body and sharp forearms to the head forcing Ajemian to turn over. Gao takes the back. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 Chiam Gao snaps back the head of Gevorg Ajemian with a stiff jab. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Ajemian throws a crisp jab, but Chiam slips it and moves in for the clinch. A stiff elbow looks to have Chiam dazed. Gevorg receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Gao. Gao is jockeying for position in the clinch. Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 Chiam throws a hard jab but Gevorg Ajemian throws a cross right over the top rocking Chiam. Gevorg lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. A wild hook from Ajemian is ducked by Chiam Gao who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Ajemian shuffles away from Chiams strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Gao backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. "Melee Malay" eats a stiff kick to the face. Round 5 is finished.
