Round 1 Cliff Morgan attempts to press in but Jay Haynes uses a inside reaping to put Cliff Morgan on the canvas. Jay Haynes hops to side control. Jay Haynes slides his knee across the body of "Hanger" and takes full mount. Cliff lands a good elbow as Haynes lowers his torso. Morgan gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Haynes peppers shot to the head of Cliff Morgan looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Cliff Morgan is hand playing well. Haynes lays into Morgan with some strong shots forcing Morgan to give up mount position. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Jay Haynes connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Haynes narrowly dodges a cross from Cliff, but falls catching him in his guard. "Hanger" dodges a few strikes from Jay and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. A couple of hard outside strikes opens up Jays guard and Morgan is able to move to half guard. Jay tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. "Hanger" presses his foot onto the thigh of Jay to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Morgan drops some good elbows to the face of Jay Haynes forcing him to give up his back. Jay Haynes starts to wiggle out of back control, Morgan lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Jay attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Cliff takes advantage of the moment taking side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Jay works to Cliff Morgans back while standing. Jay throws a couple of outside shots until "Hanger" is able to work his way back to the clinch. Cliff Morgan drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Jay begins to work the rubber guard. Cliff tries to pass guard but Haynes stops him with a well timed punch. Jay begins to posture on his side. Cliff lands a couple of outside hooks and Jay returns to the guard. Haynes grabs an overhook and lock his hands together wrenching the shoulder of Morgan from in guard. Morgan taps from the pain.
