Yukio Munakata bucks off Izan and both fighters get to their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Izan Lopez connects with a hard punch making Munakata bring him in to a tight clinch. Izan works Yukio into the cage from the clinch. Izan presses his head under Munakatas chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Lopez works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Izan Lopez drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Lopez pushes down Yukio Munakatas leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Yukio slides his body to the side and pushes out of guard. Izan Lopez grabs a guillotine hold and forces Yukio back down gaining side control. Munakata sneaks a leg back under the body of Izan to achieve a defensive half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Lopez places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Yukio receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Izan. Yukio Munakata hits an upward elbow on Izan, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Izan takes side control. Izan slides his knee across the body of Yukio and takes full mount. Izan Lopez telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Yukio gives up his back to stop the attempt.Round 5 comes to a close.
