Round 1
Haynes hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Rivera. Jay connects with a hard punch making Rivera bring him in to a tight clinch. Jay is in the clinch with Rivera, and changes levels for a beautiful double leg takedown. Haynes takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Panchitos guard. It doesn't pay off as Panchito Rivera makes his way to standing. Jay Haynes presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Rivera, aggressively pulling guard. Jay gets his arm underneath the neck of Panchito while putting his opposite arm on the back of the head. Panchito powers out of the attempted choke. Jay goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Panchito slips out at the last second. Jay Haynes attempts a kimura from the bottom. Panchito Rivera blocks the attempt and smothers Jay Haynes who transitions to an armbar attempt. Panchito Rivera is able to defend this as well and works back into guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Haynes throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Panchito puts Haynes on the mat giving his back up. "El Diablillo" works his arm around the neck of Haynes attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but Haynes hand fights well. Haynes slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Panchito Rivera executes a beautiful double leg takedown, putting Jay Haynes to the mat, and Panchito Rivera into side control. Panchito slides his knee across the body of Jay and takes full mount. Jay pulls "El Diablillo" close to avoid a flurry of strikes. "El Diablillo" begins to lose position so switches back to side control. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
Jay Haynes connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Haynes loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Panchito Rivera for the mistake. Panchito Rivera has side control. Rivera wraps the arm of Jay Haynes behind his back and traps it. Rivera pounds away with shots to the face. Haynes gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Rivera lands a double punch to the head of Jay Haynes. Panchito Rivera works his arm around the neck of Jay attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but Jay hand fights well. Jay spins through into the guard of Panchito Rivera. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 4
Jay tries to stop a shot with a punch but "El Diablillo" plows through Hayness attempt and ends up in guard. Panchito pushes down Jays leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Panchito slams his knee into Jays ribs. Haynes defends short shots well by turning his head. Rivera attempts to get a leg free and successfully moves into dominant side control. "El Diablillo" wraps the arm of Jay behind his back and traps it. "El Diablillo" pounds away with shots to the face. Jay sneaks a leg back under the body of Panchito Rivera to achieve a defensive half guard. Jay tries to scramble out of half guard, but Rivera takes his back during it. "El Diablillo" tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Giving up his back, Haynes panics and gives up mount instead. Round 4 is over.

Round 5
Panchito connects with a jab cross combination. Haynes connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. "El Diablillo" connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Jay Haynes. Jay presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Panchito Rivera, aggressively pulling guard. Jay Haynes dodges some ground strikes from Panchito Rivera, and sends a few back of his own. Panchito backs his arms out of Jay Hayness guard, leaving just his head caught. Panchito slips to the side and gets dominate control.Round 5 comes to a close.
