Round 1 Haynes connects with a hard punch making Clay Foster bring him in to a tight clinch. Jay places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Haynes takes the back of Clay who works for a kimura. Haynes pulls his arm out of the hold and push Clay away. A welt begins to form under Hayness eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Clay Foster. Clay Foster throws a push kick. Jay shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Fosters nose.
Clay Foster hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. "Mr Sandman" throws a cross that easily dodged by Haynes. Haynes catches a kick from Clay Foster and drops down for a leg lock. Clay Foster attempts to spin out of it but the lock is still tight. Haynes moves to a heel hook. Clay Foster fights through the attempt and moves to side control. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Haynes eats a strong cross as Foster moves into the clinch. Haynes attempts a takedown but is out leveraged and taken down himself. Clay Foster now is in dominant side mount. Clay attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Haynes for his troubles. "Mr Sandman" slides his knee across the body of Haynes and takes full mount. Jay Haynes shifts his head and hips to keep Clay off balance and unable to land strikes. "Mr Sandman" maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Foster connects with jab cross combination. Clay Foster connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Haynes. Haynes connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Clay Foster connects with a hard punch making Jay bring him in to a tight clinch. Clay works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. "Mr Sandman" places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Jay Haynes drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Clay Foster sets a guillotine choke but Jay Haynes slips out at the last moment. Jay Haynes is now caught in guard. Round 3 is over.
Round 4 Clay connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Clay Foster connects with a hard punch making Jay Haynes bring him in to a tight clinch. While in the clinch Haynes attempts a knee to the leg of Clay but is quickly tossed to the ground with a Kouchi Gaeshi technique. Haynes scrambles right back to the feet. "Mr Sandman" throws a few strikes allowing him to clinch with his opponent. Haynes receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Clay. Jay Haynes throws a couple of light hooks but "Mr Sandman" lands a large outer drop and positions to side mount. "Mr Sandman" lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Haynes gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 Jay lands a double jab. A sloppy scooping ankle block is pulled of by Jay. Clay Foster is able to pull him into his guard. Foster goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Jay slips out at the last second. Foster is caught off guard by a kneebar attempt from Haynes. Foster struggles out of the lock and attempts to scramble. Haynes is too quick and lunges forward to take half guard. Haynes slams his knee into Clay Fosters ribs. Foster defends short shots well by turning his head. Jay Haynes attempts to get a leg free to pass but Foster has it locked down too well. Jay attempts a step back pass but he forgets to control the head of Foster who takes advantage and grabs back control.Round 5 comes to a close.
