Round 1
"Black Forrest Gump" circles Vladik Afanasyev, mixing jabs and leg kicks. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Everson Warner uses his under and overhook to hit a solid body toss takedown, landing in full guard. Everson Warner dodges a few strikes from Afanasyev and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. Two large hammerfists forces "The Chiropractor" to attempt to shift away from Everson which give Everson the opportunity to move to half guard. Vladik is able to work a leg through from the bottom to attain full guard. "Black Forrest Gump" mixes up a series of head and body shots until Afanasyev pulls him tight into his guard. The bell signals the end of round 1.

Round 2
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Afanasyev works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Everson has double underhooks, locks across the body, and takes Vladik down to the mat, landing in great side control. Warner slides his knee across the body of Afanasyev and takes full mount. Warner slams a 12 to 6 elbow down to the face of Vladik Afanasyev. Vladik Afanasyev goes limp and the referee stops the fight.
