Round 1 Chris Aguilar hits an uppercut to the head of Gabe followed by a hard hook. Carter feints a takedown attempt and connects with a left hook dropping Aguilar. Carter dives into guard. While in his opponents guard Gabe powers himself and Chris up in the air and slams him down to the canvas. Chris Aguilar gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Chris Aguilar attempts to get to full guard but in the process gives up mount. Chris gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Chris starts to wiggle out of back control, Gabe lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Both fighters begin to exchange Aguilar catches Gabe with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Gabe gather himself. Gabe says he is ok and the fight continues. Gabe shoots a takedown from a distance putting Chris on the ground. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 "Late Bloomer" connects with a hard punch making Chris bring him in to a tight clinch. Gabe receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Chris Aguilar. Gabe Carter escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Gabe Carter snaps back the head of Aguilar with a stiff jab. Chris connects with a hard jab as "Late Bloomer" attempts a wide outside hook. Gabe connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Chris Aguilar throws a hard jab but Gabe Carter throws a cross right over the top that knocks Chris Aguilar to the ground. Gabe stands over Chris Aguilar, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Chris Aguilar cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 "Late Bloomer" connects with numerous jabs to the face of Chris. Chris Aguilar blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. Gabe Carter tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keeps him at bay. "Late Bloomer" hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Carter unleashes a flurry of punches ending with Aguilar out cold from a right hook.
