Round 1 Gao connects with a right that puts Bank off balance tumbling to the mat, as Gao towers over him. Chiam Gao drops a huge strike to Worawoots chin, landing into his guard. Bank Worawoot is almost caught in a omoplata but is able to work his way back to guard. Bank Worawoot attempts a few a shots from the guard, but gets mounted for his troubles. Bank shifts his head and hips to keep "Melee Malay" off balance and unable to land strikes. Bank Worawoot gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Giving up his back, Bank panics and gives up mount instead. Worawoot attempts to escape mount but has no luck. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Chiam comes forward, throwing a short hook that distracts Bank Worawoot. Chiam then grabs an overhook and uses a small outside-hook throw and takes side control. Chiam slides his knee across the body of Bank and takes full mount. Chiam Gao punishes Bank with a series of strikes from the mount. Worawoot gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Gao works his arm around the neck of Bank Worawoot attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but Bank Worawoot hand fights well. With both hooks in and Bank Worawoot face down Gao peppers him with short shots to the head. Bank Worawoot turns to defend while kicking a leg out to get to half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Worawoot hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. A couple of powerful body shots forces Gao back to the cage. Bank swims to double underhooks. Gao cannot stop Bank from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Gao is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Bank Worawoot. A couple of hard outside strikes opens up Gaos guard and Worawoot is able to move to half guard. Chiam Gao defends short shots well by turning his head. Worawoot attempts to get a leg free to pass but Chiam Gao has it locked down too well. Worawoot slams his knee into Chiam Gaos ribs. Gao is able to work a leg through from the bottom to attain full guard. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 Gao connects with a hard jab as Bank attempts a wide outside hook. Worawoot throws a strike that Chiam slips and then uses a Kosoto Gake trip and falls into Bank Worawoots guard. Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 Worawoot throws a hard jab but Chiam throws a cross right over the top rocking Worawoot. Bank Worawoot slides in for a leg lock but Chiam is too strong and cant be taken down. Chiam sits in and locks a neck crank. Bank Worawoot is taken by surprise and cannot escape.
