Round 1 Trip Marshbanks throws a hard jab but Malley throws a cross right over the top rocking Trip Marshbanks. Marshbanks connects with a series of punches forcing Malley into a clinch. Trip Marshbanks drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Patty Malley sets a guillotine choke but Trip Marshbanks slips out at the last moment. Trip Marshbanks is now caught in guard. Malley attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. "The Mallet" parries Marshbankss jab and connect with a cross. Trip Marshbanks begins a combination but "The Mallet" ducks down, picking Marshbankss leg. Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Patty Malley lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. "The Mallet" takes the back of Marshbanks who works for a kimura. "The Mallet" pulls his arm out of the hold and push Marshbanks away. Malley hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Trip Marshbanks is staggered by a jab to the chin. Marshbanks throws a kick to the midsection that is caught by Patty Malley. Patty Malley lands a sweeping leg kick that puts Marshbanks on his back. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Marshbanks connects with a jab cross combination. Trip Marshbanks connects with a strong body shot combo. "The Mallet" tries to hyperextend the knee of Trip Marshbanks with a kick to the kneecap. Trip Marshbanks hops back to avoid it. Patty Malley counters a jab with a stiff uppercut. The fighters circle each other. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Malley is staggered by a jab to the chin. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Patty shuffles away from Trips strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Trip Marshbanks backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Trip Marshbanks connects with jab cross combination. Patty Malley hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Trip Marshbanks. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Patty lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Marshbanks circling away. Patty Malley sends Trip to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Marshbanks shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. "The Mallet" presses the action while in the guard, but Trip is able to switch him into mount. Trip punishes Patty with a series of strikes from the mount. Trip Marshbanks telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Patty Malley gives up his back to stop the attempt. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
