Round 1 A welt begins to form under Zeke Gibbss eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Tadashi. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Tadashi connects with numerous jabs to the face of Gibbs. The fighters circle each other. Zeke parries Tadashis jab and connect with a cross. A trip to the ground allows Zeke to move into the guard of Tadashi. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Zeke Gibbs connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Akimoto. Zeke snaps back the head of Tadashi Akimoto with a stiff jab. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. Akimoto is staggered by a jab to the chin. The fighters circle each other. Akimoto stuffs a shot from Zeke and strikes two solid knees to his skull. Zeke is stunned and Akimoto takes mount with in a quick scramble. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Zeke hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Tadashi Akimoto executes a single leg giving him the back of Zeke Gibbs. Tadashi Akimoto begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Zeke Gibbs rolls to being mounted instead. Gibbs attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Tadashi Akimoto postures up and begins to fire off rapid shots from mount but Zeke tripods up and sweeps him over to his back. Zeke quickly gets himself to mount. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 Akimoto hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Tadashi narrowly dodges a cross from Gibbs, but falls catching him in his guard. Tadashi sinks a deep kimura, but Zeke Gibbs slides out. This gives Tadashi the chance to switch to half guard. Tadashi Akimoto gets to his knees. Gibbs successfully grabs a strong overhook but Tadashi Akimoto grabs his opponents wrist and uses a mini kimura lock to sweep Gibbs over to his back. Tadashi Akimoto gets to side control. Zeke Gibbs sweeps over Tadashi Akimoto and quickly obtains mount position. Zeke Gibbs is pulled in tight, and then switched over on his back. Akimoto is now caught in Gibbss guard. Tadashi Akimoto distracts Gibbs with some peppering shots. Tadashi Akimoto then isolates a leg and falls back into a achilles lock. Gibbs is able to force his way out of it but gives up half guard in the ensuing scramble. Tadashi Akimoto is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Zeke bucks off Tadashi Akimoto and both fighters get to their feet. Zeke Gibbs connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Tadashi Akimoto works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Tadashi Akimoto takes Zeke Gibbss back standing. Zeke Gibbs isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Tadashi Akimoto lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Zeke Gibbs to release. A trip to the ground allows Gibbs to move into the guard of Tadashi. Tadashi begins to posture on his side. Gibbs lands a couple of outside hooks and Tadashi returns to the guard. Zeke Gibbs tries to move to half guard but Tadashi uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Tadashi gets his arm underneath the neck of Gibbs while putting his opposite arm on the back of the head. Gibbs powers out of the attempted choke. Tadashi begins to posture on his side. Zeke lands a couple of outside hooks and Tadashi returns to the guard.Round 5 comes to a close.
