Round 1 Xavier connects with a hard punch making Nobu Kogo bring him in to a tight clinch. Xavier ducks under to the back of Nobu Kogo and hops up getting both hooks in. Xavier applies a deep choke. Nobu Kogo fights off the hands and spins around back into the clinch. Xavier takes the back of Kogo who works for a kimura. Xavier pulls his arm out of the hold and push Kogo away. Lynch connects with a series of punches forcing Nobu into a clinch. Nobu Kogo attempts a takedown from the clinch, but Xavier pulls a switch on him, ultimately leading to both fighters on their feet. Lynch keeps Nobu at a distance with some well timed jabs. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 A trip to the ground allows Lynch to move into the guard of "Sengoku Power". Xavier frees a leg and moves into half guard. Nobu Kogo defends short shots well by turning his head. Lynch attempts to get a leg free to pass but Nobu Kogo has it locked down too well. "Sengoku Power" tries to scramble out of half guard, but Xavier takes his back during it. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Xavier hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Xavier Lynch connects with a series of punches forcing Nobu Kogo into a clinch. Both fighters jockeying in the clinch. Lynch grabs an arm of Nobu turns and dumps him over his body with a Seoi Nage. Lynch keeps the arm and locks in a lightning fast armbar. Nobu struggles out and scrambles back to the feet. Lynch throws a few strikes allowing him to clinch with his opponent. Lynch works to Kogos back while standing. Lynch throws a couple of outside shots until "Sengoku Power" is able to work his way back to the clinch. While in the clinch Kogo attempts a knee to the leg of Xavier Lynch but is quickly tossed to the ground with a Kouchi Gaeshi technique. Kogo scrambles right back to the feet. Nobu shoots but Xavier stuffs it, eventually working in a whizzer and landing some sharp knees that allows him to move to side mount. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Lynch parries Nobus jab and connect with a cross. Nobu attempts a striking combination, but Lynch forces the clinch. Nobu takes the back of Lynch who works for a kimura. Nobu pulls his arm out of the hold and push Lynch away. Nobu Kogo attempts a striking combination, but Xavier forces the clinch. Xavier Lynch takes Kogos back standing. Xavier Lynch lands a couple of uppercuts from behind. Kogo is able to work his way back around. While in the clinch Nobu Kogo attempts a knee to the leg of Xavier Lynch but is quickly tossed to the ground with a Kouchi Gaeshi technique. Xavier Lynch takes side control. Nobu Kogo takes a few knees to the body while under Xaviers side control. Kogo tries to get back to full guard, but has to settle with half guard.Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 "Sengoku Power" fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Xavier. As both fighters jockey in the clinch Xavier Lynch turns and reaches his arm across the waist of Nobu grabbing the back of his thigh while grabbing behind the opposite leg with his other hand. Xavier Lynch dumps Nobu backwards over his own leg with a Sukui Nage. Xavier Lynch drops to side control. Nobu takes a few knees to the body while under Lynchs side control. Xavier Lynch slides his knee across the body of "Sengoku Power" and takes full mount. Nobu Kogo pulls Lynch close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Nobu Kogo bucks off Xavier Lynch and both fighters get to their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
