Round 1
"Beat Em" lands a double jab. Daniel connects with a hard punch making Brent Upham bring him in to a tight clinch. Brent is in the clinch with "San", and changes levels for a beautiful double leg takedown. Daniel Cheng is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. "San" and Upham trade punches to the face. Upham lands a overhand and an elbow that stuns "San". Upham moves to side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Daniel Cheng connects with a hard punch making Brent Upham bring him in to a tight clinch. "San" gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Daniel Cheng takes Uphams back standing. Brent isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Daniel Cheng lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Brent to release. "San" presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Brent, aggressively pulling guard. Upham tries to pass guard but Cheng stops him with a well timed punch. Upham tries to move to half guard but Cheng uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. "San" locks a triangle but "Beat Em" defends well. "San" decides to let go of the hold. An armbar attempt is defended by Upham. He attempts to throw an overhand right, but Cheng bucks him into mount. Round 2 is over.

Round 3
"Beat Em" connects with a hard punch making Daniel Cheng bring him in to a tight clinch. Brent receieves numerous knees to the thighs from "San". Cheng decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Upham with him. "Beat Em" tries to move to half guard but "San" uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. "Beat Em" pulls out of the guard of "San", stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of "San". "San" fires elbows off his back to the top of the head of Brent. Brent Upham tries to pick up Daniel Cheng for a powerbomb, but Daniel Cheng releases his guard and ends up in stand up. Daniel Cheng lands a quick elbow, cross that floors Brent Upham. The round comes to an end.

Round 4
The fighters circle each other. Daniel Cheng connects with a series of punches forcing Brent Upham into a clinch. Daniel Cheng ducks under to the back of Brent Upham and hops up getting both hooks in. Daniel Cheng applies a deep choke. Brent Upham fights off the hands and spins around back into the clinch. Brent drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "San" sets a guillotine choke but Brent slips out at the last moment. Brent is now caught in guard. Brent frees a leg and moves into half guard. "San" uses butterfly guard to get "Beat Em" back into his guard. Daniel Cheng locks a triangle but Upham defends well. Daniel Cheng continues the attempt but finally decides to let go. "Beat Ems" face is red from the choke and sits low in the guard to catch his breath. Daniel works to the butterfly guard. "Beat Em" tries to throw a punch but is off balance and Daniel shoots up to a standing position. "Beat Em" hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Brent Upham is staggered by a jab to the chin. Round 4 is over.

Round 5
Both fighters begin to exchange "San" catches Brent with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Brent gather himself. Brent says he is ok and the fight continues. Brent gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Cheng tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Brent Upham slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Brent Upham throws a cross that easily dodged by "San". A lazy leg kick from "San" is caught by "Beat Em" who lands a huge overhand right, flooring "San". The bell signals the end of round 5.
