Round 1 Jurina Yamada parries a jab but leaves herself open for a hard cross that sends her to the canvas. Grace follows with a falling punch into "Champions" guard. "Champion" begins to posture on her side. Grace Blethen lands a couple of outside hooks and "Champion" returns to the guard. Grace Blethen takes advantage of a mental laps from Jurina Yamada and moves into full mount. "Champion" gives her back up trying to escape the mount. Jurina carefully protects herself from Grace Blethens strikes. Jurina starts to wiggle out of back control, Grace lets her escape putting them both on their feet. Blethen connects with a hard punch making Jurina bring her in to a tight clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. While tied up, Jurina is met with a hard uppercut. Blethen parries "Champions" jab and connect with a cross that floors Yamada. Blethen stands over Jurina, works her way through her open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Jurina cannot trap her in her guard and pushes her away instead. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Yamada connects with a right that puts Grace off balance tumbling to the mat, as Yamada towers over her. Jurina Yamada attempts to drop a fist on Grace Blethen, but misses and lands in her guard. Grace dodges some ground strikes from Jurina, and sends a few back of her own. Yamada attempts to pass Graces guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. "Champion" lands a double punch to the head of Grace. Blethen gives her back up trying to escape the mount. Giving up her back, Grace Blethen panics and gives up mount instead. Grace Blethen gets pummeled by the fists of Yamada. Grace Blethen gives up her back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Yamada attempts a takedown, but Grace Blethen clumsily falls down without much provocation. "Champion" drops a huge strike to Grace Blethens chin, landing into her guard. Jurina Yamada keeps her head down in the chest of Grace to avoid any submission attempts. Jurina Yamada leans up and lands some short punches before lowering back down. Grace Blethen attempts a few a shots from the guard, but gets mounted for her troubles. Jurina throws some outside strikes at Blethen. Blethen gets pummeled by the fists of Yamada. Blethen gives up her back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Jurina Yamada begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Grace rolls to being mounted instead. Blethen bucks off "Champion" and both fighters get to their feet. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Grace circles Jurina, landing jabs at will. A trip to the ground allows Blethen to move into the guard of Jurina. "Champion" lands a stiff elbow while on her back. Jurina sinks a kimura, but cannot finish. She settles for a switch into mount. Grace attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Grace gives her back up trying to escape the mount. The bell signals the end of round 4.
Round 5 Grace Blethen connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Jurina. Blethen connects with a hard punch making Yamada bring her in to a tight clinch. A stiff elbow looks to have Jurina Yamada dazed. Grace Blethen works the clinch to her advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Blethen fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening "Champion" up for a flurry of hooks. "Champion" winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Grace Blethen grabs for a clinch but Jurina Yamada grazes her with an uppercut. Grace Blethen staggers back, then surprises Jurina Yamada with a powerful superman punch. "Champion" connects with numerous jabs to the face of Grace. "Champion" hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Blethen.Round 5 comes to a close.
