Farmer narrowly dodges a cross from "Mr Miyagi", but falls catching him in his guard. Farmer locks a triangle but "Mr Miyagi" defends well. Farmer decides to let go of the hold. Farmer lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Brett locks a triangle but Shannon defends well. Brett continues the attempt but finally decides to let go. Shannons face is red from the choke and sits low in the guard to catch his breath. Round 3 is finished.

Round 5 The fighters circle each other. Shannon Hughes parries Brett Farmers jab and connect with a cross. "Mr Miyagi" ducks under a loopy hoop, taking "The Fury" to the mat, and his back. Shannon Hughes begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Brett rolls to being mounted instead. Farmer shifts his head and hips to keep Shannon Hughes off balance and unable to land strikes. "The Fury" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. The bell signals the end of round 5.
