Round 1
Sugita fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with "Tim". The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Katsuo dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Allen standing over him. "Tim" attempts to drop a fist on Sugita, but misses and lands in his guard. Katsuo connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Sugita shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. "The beachboy" dodges some ground strikes from Butch, and sends a few back of his own. "The beachboy" attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
Butch attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. "The beachboy" takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Katsuo Sugita slides his knee across the body of Allen and takes full mount. "The beachboy" secures his position. Allen gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Katsuo Sugita tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Giving up his back, "Tim" panics and gives up mount instead. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 3
Butch Allen loses his balance from a well timed strike, and is awkwardly taken down by Katsuo Sugita for the mistake. Katsuo Sugita has side control. Sugita slides his knee across the body of Butch Allen and takes full mount. Katsuo Sugita throws some outside strikes at Allen. "Tim" gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Sugita peppers "Tim" with several shots to the face. "Tim" tripods up, causing "The beachboy" to fall forward. As "The beachboy" tries to scramble up "Tim" lands a lunging hook, putting "The beachboy" on the ground stunned. "Tim" takes Katsuos guard.Round 3 comes to a close.

Round 4
A welt begins to form under Katsuos eye after a strong cross-hook landed from "Tim". Sugita circles Butch Allen, mixing jabs with body shots. Katsuo executes a single leg giving him the back of Butch. "The beachboy" tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Allen starts to wiggle out of back control, Katsuo lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Allen throws a cross that easily dodged by Katsuo Sugita. Katsuo takes a punch while shooting but executes the takedown and ends up in Allens guard. The bell signals the end of round 4.

Round 5
Butch Allen connects with a series of punches forcing Katsuo into a clinch. Allen works to Katsuo Sugitas back while standing. Allen throws a couple of outside shots until Katsuo is able to work his way back to the clinch. A strong elbow forces "Tim" to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Katsuo attempts to drop a fist on Butch, but misses and lands in his guard. Butch Allen attempts to lock an omoplata, but Katsuo Sugita is able to muscle his way back to the guard. Butch tries for a kimura from the bottom. Katsuo Sugita uses his free hand to connect with several punches and Butch is forced to give up on the kimura. Allen attempts to lock an omoplata, but "The beachboy" is able to muscle his way back to the guard. A couple of hard outside strikes opens up Allens guard and Katsuo Sugita is able to move to half guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
