Round 2 Troy Cherry stuffs a shot from Campos and lands some powerful outside hammerfists, eventually taking side mount. Cherry slides his knee across the body of Campos and takes full mount. Campos attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Campos gets pummeled by the fists of Troy. Campos gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Troy peppers Paulo Campos with several shots to the face. Troy lands a series of heavy punches forcing Paulo Campos to roll to his back, giving Troy mount. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Cherry attempts to press in but Campos uses a inside reaping to put Cherry on the canvas. Campos hops to side control. Paulo Campos attempts an armbar, but Troy stops the attempt. Paulo Campos uses the oppurtunity to take mount. Paulo punishes Troy Cherry with a series of strikes from the mount. Cherry gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Paulo Campos locks in a body triangle as he takes shots at Cherry. Paulo lays into Troy with some strong shots forcing Troy to give up mount position. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 Cherry takes Campos down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Campos. Troy stands over Campos, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Campos is able to grab an arm and pull Troy into his guard. Troy Cherry takes advantage of a mental laps from Paulo Campos and moves into full mount. Paulo gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Round 5 A welt begins to form under Paulos eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Troy Cherry. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Cherry works Campos into a corner, swimming for double underhooks. Cherry presses his head into Paulos chest, forcing him to the ground. Cherry takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Paulo Camposs guard. It doesn't pay off as Paulo makes his way to standing. Troy Cherry narrowly dodges a cross from Paulo Campos, but falls catching him in his guard. Troy goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Paulo Campos slips out at the last second. Cherry dodges some ground strikes from Paulo, and sends a few back of his own. Campos attempts to drop bombs while caught in the guard, but Cherry takes the chance to switch Campos over to mount him. The bell signals the end of round 5.
