Round 1 Carter blocks a strong high kick from Nao Nakao and counters with a devastating left hook. Clyde Carter dodges a series of strikes from Nakao and counters with a body shot and cross. Clyde Carter then backs up and wags a finger at Nakao. Clyde Carter ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Nao Nakao and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Carter dodges a series of strikes from Nao and counters with a body shot and cross. Carter then backs up and wags a finger at Nao. Clyde Carter parries Nao Nakaos jab and lands an uppercut that floors Nao. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 "Nightfall" plows through Clyde with a driving double leg takedown. "Nightfall" pushes down Clyde Carters leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Nao Nakao attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Clyde Carter gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Carter hits an upward elbow on Nakao, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Nakao takes side control. Carter takes a few knees to the body while under Nao Nakaos side control. Clyde gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Carter is staggered by a jab to the chin. Clyde Carter throws a push kick. "Nightfall" shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Clydes nose.
Nao Nakao ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Clyde Carter to the mat, and his back. Nao Nakao peppers Clyde with several shots to the face. Carter starts to wiggle out of back control, Nao lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Clyde throws a cross that easily dodged by Nakao. Nao attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Carter takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 Clyde Carter narrowly dodges a cross from Nao, but falls catching him in his guard. Carter gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. Clyde Carter tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Nakao slips out of half guard and into side control. Nao Nakao lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Nao Nakao drops some hammer fists on Clyde. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 A welt begins to form under Naos eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Clyde. "Nightfall" snaps back the head of Carter with a stiff jab. Clyde slips a cross from Nao Nakao and lands jab cross to the body. Nakao connects with a strong right hook. "Nightfall" parries a jab but leaves himself open for an uppercut. Carter gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Round 5 comes to a close.
